I bought these to keep the flys away. They seem to work well for flys. I don’t have any other pest problems, so I don’t know how well they work on fleas or ticks.

I am very diligent in keeping my dog, cats and my lawn treated to prevent fleas.( I even treat my neighbors lawns just to be safe, they just don't know it :) My German Shepherd is the the only pet allowed outside in my fenced yard. Fleas were terrible this year. I have never had a problem with fleas until this year. It was awful. I spent a whole lot of $$$ on shampoos, drops, & powders to no avail. I found these flea collars on Amazon. 8 month protection is what attracted me. I was absolutely amazed and thrilled with the almost immediate results. My dog was scratching the most, poor girl, every week a bath. She likes water but was dreading her weekly flea bath. These collars IMO were her savior! After just a week she pretty much stopped scratching. AWWW. My big girl is finally comfortable again! I've seen NO FLEAS!!! Great flea collar, great value. For whatever reason these don’t stay on very well. All 4 of my dogs have managed to get these collars off. They don’t have a strong smell and do not leave all that white residue so I do like that.

We adopted a dog who had fleas. We had a really hard time getting it under control because we had two pregnant mamas that couldn't be medicated, and the weekly baths weren't sufficient. I finally decided to try flea collars. Not sure why I decided upon these, but I am happy to report that they worked! At first I didn't think they were working because I would still see the occasional flea a few weeks after putting the collars on. But the collars aren't going to affect flea eggs, and my vet told me to expect it to take two months to eradicate them all due to life cycles. We are about at two months and I haven't seen a single flea. We had ten puppies and I bathed them, thinking for sure I would see some. Not one! This was a great option for our situation.
