I piece these up to try to remove some paint from some aluminum pots on our lanai because the sandpaper just wasn’t cutting it. Needless to say I’m glad I tested it out on a scrap piece because it removed more than the paint, and left some deep grooves in it. These are well-made and work well on my Makita grinder. The wire itself is stiff, very rugged and does a good job of removing rust and or paint from metal surfaces. These are made for a standard 5/8" arbor and work equally well on his corded Milwaukee or cordless Greenworks angle grinder. Both the cup and wheel held up well while scouring rust from a rusty tire rim, even when they'd catch on the tight angles. The wires themselves have plenty of spring and don't break or shed as much as other wheels I've used. They perform the same as the name-brand wire wheels that cost twice as much.
