  • Good device for a specific purpose
I am using this to run four ceiling speakers in a board room. The device looks well made. The sound is clean and loud enough for the room and the amplifier has the exact features I was looking for. Being able to control the speaker volumes individually was not necessary for this application, but it is helpful. Time will tell if the internal components hold up. ... show more

  • Solid little bluetooth receiver
This has been a fantastic product so far for me. Initially got it as I needed a small receiver to fit in an awkward space where speaker wires were located (for reference, smaller than a standard 8.5 x 11 paper). Bluetooth was easy to establish on my phone....the only negative so far has been that I had to forget and re-pair the device once over the course of 2 months with daily use. Another slight negative, when using a google nest device to play music through the speaker it is often poor-performing (slight skipping/crackling), but this doesn't exist when using a phone. Overall, gets the job done and would purchase again (and will purchase again if and when this one dies due to the low cost for what you get). ... show more

  • Great unit for supporting two sets of speakers using same signal
UPDATE: Just after the warranty expired the Bluetooth capabilities failed. I contacted the vendor and while they would not replace the unit, they did provide me an essentially new unit by sending me an entirely new circuit board for $10 shipping. Swapping out the circuit board is fairly straight forward if you have done this kind of thing before. The replacement board now has a working Bluetooth connection. I have to give this vendor credit for basically replacing the unit out of warranty. I stand by my original review - it is a nice unit. ORIGINAL: I just installed this, so it's early. I have two sets of speakers in the same room that require a different volume setting in order to be properly balanced. This unit does a great job sending the same sound source to two different speakers. My sound source is a Mac using BT, so master volume is controlled on my Mac. The documentation is a little lacking - I have included a diagram of how the volume controls are mapped to stereo signals - I may have missed it, but I could not find it in the documentation. Overall I really like it so far. ... show more

  • Keeps cutting out after a couple minutes of use
I received this product a while ago for a project and kept it laying around in the box due to project delays. I finally got around to using it, and it turns on for about 5 minutes and then shuts off. At first I thought it was being over powered, turned all channels down low and it still cuts out. I moved the cable to it own receptacle and it still cuts out after 5 minutes, super disappointing. I realize I am well out of the return window, but I emailed the company for support and to see if maybe it was a defective unit.... They have not gotten back to me. When it works, it seems to work well. I see other people have had luck, I guess that's why I'm so bummed. Just be cautious about what you're buying and know that it could have problems out the box. Maybe the company will reach out to me and replace the unit so I can re-review and give a higher rating. ... show more

  • Not Stereo
Not Stereo, no treble or bass controls, and no master volume. Will not work for my needs.

  • Great little unit
I'd actually only give it 4.5 Stars, as there is a little bit of false advertising, but like most dating profiles, there was some exaggeration of its positive features. it says its a 50W x 4 channel system. This would mean its a 200W Amp. This is a relatively meaningless Peak value. A more Real World usable number is its RMS rating. The Power supply is 24 V at 4.5 Amps, providing a Total power capability of only 108 Watts, so that is really all you can get. And the lights, Bluetooth receiver, and other circuitry will take some of that too. This little amp is [ probably ] only putting out about 22 to 24 Watts per channel RMS. Fully acceptable numbers. No need to indulge here. I have this hooked up to 4 speakers, each rated at 8 Ohm, in an Outdoor environment, using 14 Gauge multi-strand copper speaker cable, and it plays plenty loud. I have a SPL meter, but haven't been bothered to check it, as the unit plays more than loud enough for normal back yards. It Won't get you concert level volumes, but can be loud enough to irritate your neighbors, even if they are still in their house. I've had it up to full volume with no distortion. I didn't have any 4 ohm or 2 ohm speakers available to try, but I would expect 2 Ohm speakers at full volume to play louder, but with distortion at its limits. There is no Fan, and it looks reasonably sealed to keep dust out. It doesn't look weather proof, but it doesn't claim to be. I currently have it installed Indoors, but do plan on moving it outside, under a covered deck. It wont get rained on directly, but there will be some high humidity exposure. This will probably void the warranty I was surprised by its small form factor. it really is tiny. I actually like the removal Speaker cable mount. its a little awkward, but I found it easier to connect the speaker cables with the mount off the unit, and then press it on once all cables were locked down. The screws come all tightened, and you need to Loosen them before inserting the speaker cable. Bluetooth range is fair. I have another similar Bluetooth receiver puck that puts out Line level and TOS-Link Fiber connections, which has a little better range, but this little unit reaches almost as far. This is a sealed metal unit, made with the finest chinesium steel available, and it appears the antenna is Inside. It might have been better to have an External antenna to get an extra 10+ feet of range, but it still reaches to about 30 feet in my setup, which does have an exterior wall it its path, with 2x6 stud, insulation, sheet rock wall, and hardy board like siding. I haven't purchased a second one yet, but I am tempted to get a second, and Daisy chain them so I can have a the same music playing on some indoor speakers at the same time. There are RCA style Input and Outputs on the back, which the documentation shows to be there for exactly this purpose. Having Individual volume controls is a Plus and a Minus. There is no Master volume. but you can use your source device ( aka iPhone ) to adjust that. but you Do get the ability to raise or lower speakers individually, so you can Boost a far away speaker, or lower nearby speakers, to get a better overall level etc. The volume control knobs are anodized aluminum ( or aluminium if your in Europe / Canada ) I would buy again, and probably will. ... show more

  • Great sound for the price!
I love the four channels of independent volume, plenty, loud enough for the small amp, and a great price!
