  • Excellent gosh gloss finish, scratch resistant
Size: 5ft x 2ft (10 Sq/ft)
Was interested in getting dash of 68 Camaro refinished without having to mask off small visible sections of welded in dash. The vinyl wrap was perfect and I was able to do both sections in under 30 min with no overspray or masking concerns. Very pleased with results and no one will know it’s not paint. ... show more

  • 3M 2080 <defective quality>
Size: 5ft x 10ft (50 Sq/ft)
I purchased this roll of 3M gloss black (5x10). I was intending to wrap my targa top and halo on my C4. As this was my first time wrapping I figured the smaller targa top would be best to start with as it comes off the car, and before messing with the halo. As I began to unroll the material I noticed these “satin” spots almost like subdued camouflage. I figured this was just some moisture between the plastic and the topside of the wrap, remember this is my first time. I cut my piece and removed the upper plastic, spots were still there. I continued thinking they would soon leave. I wrapped the roof piece and the spots remained. Looking at my roll, the other half doesn’t have these spots, so in theory I could re-wrap the targa top, however I can’t wrap the halo piece as half would have spots and the other half wouldn’t. As I put it on the car thinking it would go away, I guess it’s on me to eat the cost. I would’ve thought springing for the 3M 2080 product line you wouldn’t have these inconsistencies. My recommendation to anyone that is thinking of doing a wrap, unroll the entire length to check the quality. Do not continue if there is an issue, and return it. Expensive mistake on my part. I tried to contact seller but Amazon wanted to deal with it and have me return the roll. Wasn’t sure how to go about that as I took out a 3X4 piece. I could wad it up in the box i suppose since this wrap roll is worthless. If you have a roll without imperfections, it is really good stuff to work with. Even being a beginner, it wasn’t difficult…just time consuming as you pull and stick a lot. I know my wrapping skills aren’t perfect, but I could see using this if it wasn’t inconsistent in color. ... show more

  • Amazing product - Worth every penny.
Size: 5ft x 6ft (30 Sq/ft)
Ok a little backstory first... I have a 8th gen Honda Civic. And for those that are familiar with them, that's probably all I have to say. But for everyone else who doesn't know, these cars are notorious for the clear coat failing on the roof. After years of thinking that I dodged that bullet it finally started to fail on my car too. So since I could not afford to repaint my car I figured a vinyl roof wrap would be the next best thing. And long story short this stuff is amazing. For someone who has never done anything like this before, and with no more training than watching a couple of YouTube videos on the subject I actually managed to end up with a very passible final product. This vinyl ended up being very forgiving to work with which definitely saved me as I absolutely screwed up my first couple of attempts to install it. However at the end of the day after much sweating and cursing it actually turned out great. I'm sure a professional could have done it in a fraction of the time and it would have come out absolutely perfect, but for my needs I couldn't be happier with the final product. I would not hesitate to buy this vinyl again for future projects. It is by far a superior product and worth every penny. ***Update*** Roughly three years later and the vinyl on the roof of my car was starting to show some wear. Then I recently made the mistake of trying to wax it, which almost immediately made it look drastically worse. Still even going into this I knew it I knew the vinyl was a temporary solution, so I find it hard to complain. Also for what it's worth I also wrapped the chrome grill on my car shortly after I did the roof, and that part is still looking perfect. So even though I have heard that you can apply wax to the vinyl, apparently it might damage it or at least leave a nasty looking residue. ... show more

  • Easiest to apply but at a cost
Size: 5ft x 10ft (50 Sq/ft)
Tips after solo installation: - Invest in good tools it wont be the last thing you wrap - A quality blow dryer can suffice for heat gun with 1080 because it's thin. I still used a heat gun, but tested both - HEAT BEFORE WRAPPING CORNERS, watch for tension points and lay wrap to avoid excess tension - Post-heat after application to make sure it's not going to finger and relax in place - CK Wraps on YT is an incredibly valuable resource to watch I was able to wrap my roof and my front grille without any issues with my first order of 5x10feet. I did this alone and all I can say is invest in the tools. I used some cheapo kit and didn't use knifeless tape the first time. Using good tools will make this job 100% more enjoyable and a better outcome. I re-purchased more wrap to re-do the roof now that I have knifeless tape. My car doesn't have drip sills in the roof to hide the wrap seam, so the cut has to be absolutely perfect. The first time I free handed it. Needless to say I'm no surgeon so I'll re-do. ... show more
