First of all, this does NOT come with the extension cable pictured. You will have to buy one separately, which already raises the price to that of a higher quality clone with an extension or even a real bltouch on sale. However, when I finally got it working (kind of) it would light up and self-test twice on startup but would not self test or stow/deploy manually. Second, when I tried to home the printer, the Z axis refused to move down, claiming it was already at level 0. I think the sensor was automatically reporting contact with the build plate so the printer thought the z axis was already homed. Piece of garbage. ... show more

General thoughts: After getting it wired up the product works as I needed. It definitely got rid of the bed leveling issue that I was having with my new CR-10S. I have a Prusa i3 Mk3S as my first printer and it does not require manual bed tramming/leveling. I was really frustrated trying to get good prints and this cured that problem. You will also need to flash a firmware that adds BL Touch to your firmware. I was already running a custom version of Marlin from TH3D and just added it into the profile. The product should have better choices for how to wire into printers with external control boxes. You will need to provide your own connectors to join the short harness and long harness to make a place to separate for maintenance. Also just the long single cable would be too short to reach for a tall printer like the CR-10. Pros: * Fixed my first layer problem * Reasonable cost * It works with the correct wiring (see image) Cons: * 2 cables don't joint together * 200 mm cable is worthless unless you add new connectors to join with 1 m cable * Needed to de-burr the end of the probe to make it flat I would recommend this to hobbyist that know how to configure or wire up custom stuff to their printer. If you are a beginner, you might want to consider getting a kit that is more user friendly out of the box. ... show more

I will be basing this review off of the fact I have several in hand after ordering a few. I also have several legit BLTOUCH units to directly compare them to since I have multiple printers and for some reason am the person my friends call when they need to troubleshoot or install new stuff and cant figure it out. Wire colors are close but pull the connector off the clones board for the pin layout and compare with where you would be plugging it into the printers mainboards pin layout. Pay attention to the signal and 5v connections as I have had to flip those wires. Accuracy wise its close but definitely on the looser end of the spectrum for repeatability. Remember you bought a clone. Build quality - Pins have a little bit of plastic flashing left over from when they cast the plastic. Leave on or trim is upto you. One of the units the pin flopps around all loosey goosey. So far it hasnt done anything to mess with accuracy but its does get pretty annoying hearing it rattle around when im in the vicinity of that printer. The bodys also had flashing from casting. QC is lacking for sure. Wires on one of the connectors wasnt secured into the connector securely either. CHECK EVERYTHING This is not a drop in item and you will need to flash firmware and other settings. You will need to inspect everything and clean up plastic remnants from the MFG process. These are cheap clones and you get what you pay for so dont expect lobster on a ramen budget. If you are a tinkerer and troubleshooter knock yourself out. If you barely manage to figure out how to diagnose something or are a newbie to the 3dprinting space this is not the product for you as you will need to mess with it. I am waiting on a replacement unit currently as one arrived absolutely smashed. Shipping envelope was fine but the contents were obliterated. Not the items fault so I wont be knocking off a star for it. I will be knocking off 2 stars however. One for absolute trash QC and another for being on the loose end of the probe accuracy spectrum. I was incredibly disappointed by this product, it included ZERO instructions on how to install and use. It includes an assortment of random parts that were mostly useless, which blew my mind. It does NOT include a mount either meaning I had to buy one separately in order to use it. The parts are poorly made and I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks after a short period of time. After creating my own mount, I tested the touch sensor and it is essentially useless. It is very inaccurate and frequently causes errors due to uneven leveling. I have tested and changed setting to see if I could make it work but it is impossible due to how inaccurate the sensor is. ... show more

For fun I switched my official CR touch out to try this on my main printer before I had the intended printer together to install this on. Its a normal BL touch clone, my second clone and have had great results with. My only issue with it was connecting the DuPont connectors to the board, as some pins were loose, but I just replaced loose connectors with new ones and it was fine.
