I do a lot of 3D printing, and I don't like to stay and babysit it, either. I found this camera with a remote control, and I had to get one to try. I was not disappointed; this one worked out great. First off, I like how it had good instructions, that it was easy for me to set this one, and that I did not have to buy any additional cables or connectors. Secondly, I like that it has a good clear picture and a nice stand making it easy to position for the best view of the printer. Lastly, I like that it works perfectly, making it easy to remote monitor and remote control from my phone. No cons, it worked out great for me, and I am very happy with the purchase. ... show more

    • Its a major upgrade!
The media could not be loaded. I owned the previous model and i honestly really enjoyed it. Upon receiving this new model it definitely exceeded my expectations! The form factor is alot smaller and the tripod is made of better quality for sure! The cables also seem to be of a higher quality, my only gripe is its hard to get the sd card in and out of the device but i use a little tool and it doesnt make much of a difference, not a deal breaker what so ever! Connectivity and compatability to my ender 3 v3 se was a breeze, no issues whatsoever, and it was FAST lol the ease of use and options to control my printer without having to do a bunch of computer stuff is very nice for the lazy person like myself lol The ability to adjust settings on the live video is a very very thoughtful feature that i wish i had on the previous camera, it definitely helps me see what i need to see and when i need to see it! In the dark or in a room thats to bright, you can always guarantee youll be able to monitor your print incase of any failures or even if you just enjoy watching it sometimes like myself and friends. One thing i found out this time around is that i can share the live feed with friends but i didnt realize i was also sharing full control over my printer🤣 i wish i had a way to only share the video and not the controls... luckily my friends are nice and didnt harm any prints, i even let them start some prints for their enjoyment from the comfort of their home so that was cool. Overall this is an amazing product and great value for the money! It saves time and effort if youre looking for a way to control youre printer while youre away from home and you can do it from anywhere as long as your camera has internet access! This is by far my favorite addition to my printing journey and ill continue to support this company for as long as they're around because they are supporting us by making this awesome product and listening to customer feedback on their facebook group. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. EDIT 1/1/24: tripod broke in day 5, after multiple attempts to reach company with NO REPLY sadly I will be returning this camera. The app has malfunctioned and ruined prints after 24+hours with a non specific error… BUYER BEWARE!!!! Camera arrived very well packaged with everything needed, they even included an extra charging cable! Setup was very quick/easy, I downloaded the app and within minutes the camera was connected to my wifi and ready to control my printer. It is connected to my Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro printer and has been working non stop since installation. I use my laptop to slice the files, upload to the camera via the web page and then use the app to print. I am attaching a time lapse video, there are several features and styles to capture so it will be fun trying all the choices. ... show more

Years ago I bought a Beagle Cam and my 3d printing changed drastically. Now that I bought a second printer, I sprung for the Beagle Cam v2. It was easy to set up with my app and share with my family so anybody can drop in and see how the print is going. Even away from the home network, I'm able to pull up the camera through the app on my phone and check in or show somebody something I'm printing for them. Way back when I first bought my beagle cam, there wasn't terminal access and I wound up spending more than I did for the camera to get a raspberry pi WITHOUT a camera just to set up octoprint so I could easily calibrate my machine. (Yes, I know there are other ways like pronterface to use with windows, but I wanted something dedicated to my printer) The only gripe I would have is that with Octo print you can filter out various messages your printer sends. However, if you clear the terminal, Mintion does have a way to simply copy all the output if you put in an m503 command or something similar that tells you what every setting is. Adding commands is just as easy, so that's the only real "work around" you need. There may be other uses for adding various plugins for Octo print, but I never really found much use for them since the Mintion did everything I needed a camera for perfectly. When I found the update that had terminal access, I actually started using my raspberry pi in other projects. The V2 is an actual improvement, and worth springing for if you have the extra cash. The pic I added of the original Beagle Cam is taken with the V2 so you can see the still pic quality. The picture of the V2 is taken with an iPad air 4th generation. It's an older iPad, but for the purpose of sharpness and seeing what I'm printing, I feel that the camera on the V2 beats the iPad. I remember having an issue sharing the camera years ago when I first got my original Beagle Cam and the customer support was quick to respond and took notes of what was happening. It wasn't something they could fix at the time, but in a future update (i don't remember how long I had to wait, but it wasn't long) the issue was resolved. They were courteous, quick, and thorough. I haven't had any need to talk to them since, but I'm confident they're still just as thorough. And they listen to the feedback of their customers. Terminal access, for instance, was something people wanted, and Mintion found a way to bring it to us. Overall I've been happy with Beagle Cam and now I just add the cost of a cam to the cost of a printer as a necessity for the setup. It's honestly not something I would do without. ... show more
