Description

Do you have trouble with parts warping or detaching from your printer bed? Have you struggled with part removal after your print is finished? INTRODUCING LAYERNEER BED WELD! BED WELD is engineered to solve these challenges by enhancing your print surface. It grabs hold of that critical first layer when your build surface is hot and refuses to let go with its gecko-like grip. In many cases, you can print without rafts or brims, saving you time and material. Once your print finishes, let your bed cool to room temperature. As it cools, Bed Weld releases its hold, so you don't have to wrestle to get your part off. Typically, your part will fully detach without needing tools. BED WELD comes with a unique applicator that makes applying the coating a simple no mess process. The coating dries quickly when the bed is heated. It forms a thin film that is "not sticky", yet parts will adhere well to it. NOTE: BED WELD was designed for use with heated build plates made from glass. Applying to glass build plates is preferred. See "Compatibility Guide" image for a full list of supported built plate surfaces. Creality flexible magnetic sheets, textured PEI, spring steel, and aluminum surfaces are not supported. Works with PLA, ABS, PETG, ASA, and CPE filaments. BED WELD is not recommended for use with Nylon, PP, or TPU 95A. See "Compatibility Guide" image for a full list of supported filament types. PRINTING TIPS: When printing with ABS, we recommend setting your bed temperature no higher than 80C, and using an enclosure. Turn off printers "Economy" mode so your bed temperature remains stable throughout the print. BED WELD is backed by an unconditional 90-Day money-back manufacturer guarantee, so you risk nothing!

  • Great adhesion on glass build plates
I've previously been using glue sticks or hairspray for adhesion when printing on glass build plates. While both options work, they are messier, don't always provide consistent adhesion, and can leave an unwanted finish on the bottom of prints (requiring cleaning and/or sanding). The LAYERNEER bed weld is a fantastic product! Here's what I like about it: - The sponge applicator prevents too much product from coming out and makes it very easy to apply the product only where needed. - After applying and allowing the product to dry (dries by the time the bed is heated), the dried product is clear and leaves a smooth (nearly invisible) layer on top of the print bed. - Since the product dries smooth, there's no chance it will cause imperfections on the bottom of the prints (like chunky glue sticks often do). - The product is water soluable, so it's easy to clean off the build plate with hot water. While not required, a small dab of dish soap adds some lubrication and makes washing easier. - The cap securely twists onto the top of the bottle to protect the foam applicator and keep the product from drying out. - One layer is good for 5-10 prints. LAYERNEER states a wet sponge can be used to recharge the bed weld, but I haven't tried that yet. - While washing the build plate will always yield the best results, I'm able to reapply additional layers of bed weld (as needed) a few times before washing the build plate. Some tips for success: - Check out the image LAYERNEER included in the product description for a list of build plates this product works best with. There are a lot of low star reviews here where customers mention they are using build plates that are not on the suggested list (like textured build plates). - Apply the product when the bed is at room temperature. - Shake the bottle for about 5 seconds before applying. There is a ball inside of the bottle (like in a can of spray paint) that helps mix the product. - Press the sponge applicator straight down until it bottoms out on the build plate to allow the product to moisten the sponge applicator. And then lightly brush the sponge applicator acrosss the build plate to distribute the product where needed (wherever the parts will be placed). - Wait for the product to air dry before printing if not using a heated bed. If using a heated bed, the product will be dry by the time the bed reaches the target temperature. - After a print has completed, wait for the bed to cool down to room temperature for easier/cleaner removal. I've been 3D printing (mostly on glass build plates) since 2015. The LAYERNEER bed weld is the best product I've used so far. My only disappointment is that it took me this long to find a product that consistently works well. I'll definitely be purchasing LAYERNEER bed weld again in the future (use Subscribe & Save to save 15%). ... show more

  • Very good
Very good bed adhesive. Very easy clean up as well. Dries quick and can usually do 2 prints before I have to clean and re apply. Very good amount for the price as well

  • Works well with ASA Not so well with the textured side of the old Ender 3 glass bed I was using
My first review was pretty poor because I couldn't get anything (ASA) to print past the 4th layer without lifting. I had a lot of messaging between myself and Jeff at Trendios Inc. customer service. Very friendly and very helpful. I have an Ender 3 pro with their glass bed that has some texture on one side. I've been using it for the last 4 years and it works fine with PLA. Jeff suggested turning the glass plate over and printing on just the glass. I cleaned the glass with soap and hot water and applied a smooth layer of Bed Weld. The print was perfect! It turns out that the older Ender glass beds are not compatible with Bed Weld. The newer ones are compatible. I've been printing a lot today and everything is sticking to the bed. Thanks Jeff for your help today and I'll be purchasing this product again. ... show more

  • Works great! Just follow the instructions on the bottle
Works extremely well across the board for my Prusa i3 Mk3S with both the smooth steel sheet and the textured PEI sheet. Easily warping plastics love to stick to this stuff. Be warned though: If you use bed temps higher than 80C or so, extreme adhesion can occur on flat build plates. When I attempted to remove an easily-warping polycarbonate print from the smooth sheet, it pulled a chunk of the sheet off of the metal surface. I had never seen this happen before with steel sheets. Seems like the bottle's warning of this is absolutely accurate. Be sure to follow the instructions! Surprisingly, this absolutely works on the PEI sheet as well. Prusa claims that the PEI sheet needs no adhesives of any kind-- I've found this to not be the case with all bed types. Not strong enough to get materials like Nylon to stick, but the only way around that would be to use a Garolite build surface. While Bed Weld appears to be better than glue sticks, there's no need to switch if glue sticks work well for you. You can easily get two years worth of glue sticks for the price of one bottle of Bed Weld. All in all: Better than a glue stick, applicator is nice, one coats lasts for several prints. One bottle can last through six months of daily prints, easily. ... show more

  • It works so well. I almost exclusively print PETG
The media could not be loaded. I have, 16 printers and most run daily. It is for my work. The video is a mold block and it took nearly 5 days to print. 396 mm on a CR-6 Max printer. I used the Micro Swiss nozzle on all my CR-6 Maxes. This Layerneer is so good that when production was cut off, I was really apprehensive ( I was running very low on this product), as I have ruined glass plates costing a lot with sticking to the glass and then ripping the surface off. And the ONLY time, now I have and issue is when I "forget" to apply the Layerneer. It is so good, that it ended my testing of other products. And it wipes off easily with a wet sponge, and can be renewed by taking a wet sponge and spreading it around again. You can look across the glass plate and see the adhesive, and you are good to go. Normal plate temp is set to 85, but measures about 78 with my IR thermometer. You must wait for it to cool and it jus lifts off with ease. PETG is not a "hurry up" material, it takes patience but it is very strong. That is why I have several printers. Just let the surface cool and it just lifts off with ease. I also print TPU and Poly carbonate with carbon fiber and PETG with carbon fiber, no problems holding and removing. If you don't use adhesive, when a print pulls up you will understand. All my printers have dryers. If you dry every PETG before printing, also no problems with those "water blisters" showing in prints. I get rally beautiful and rugged useable parts. ... show more
