I've needed to use these twice, but only bought them for the second time. A few years back I had to mess with the big spring on the washing machine gasket and did it with screwdrivers and pliers. It's doable, easy to get off, but a major chore getting that spring back on without these pliers. Recently I need to do this again and saw these pliers. Made getting the spring back on a one-person job that took fifteen seconds instead of bloody knuckles, irate helpers, and ten minutes of a job.
