Started out GREAT! Then had some issues. The company, and their representative, Jennifer, were courteous, patient, helpful, and meticulous in helping resolve the issues... Mostly attributed to installing a new, stronger battery into an older golf cart. They went above and beyond to help resolve the problems, which ultimately was not an issue with their battery, as I believed. After testing wires, connections, and replacing what I believe was an intermittent throttle sensor issue, the cart runs great! Much lighter than the lead acid batteries, the upgrade allows the cart to run quicker and stronger than ever. I highly recommend the upgrade, and the Kepworth company as a replacement for aging batteries. THANKS! ... show more

    • Battery rely ability.
I bought this battery a year and a half ago, replaced my lead batteries with it. It worked great until I parked it one evening after charging it a couple days before. The next morning I was going to use it. When I turned the switch on my cart meter read 1.5 volts so I brought out my good hand held meter. It and my second hand held read the same. I put my charger on it but even though the charger was putting out over 40 volts it would not take a charge. I am greatly disappointed since it did so great for its short life. I paid a little over $1,400 for it. I will certainly check all buyer comments before I buy another replacement. UPDATE: The next evening my girlfriend was curious. She turned the key and the cart meter popped up 40.0 volts. She got in and moved it forward and backward. It is going great once again. I suspect something about the BMS may have caused the battery to shut down for a day? ... show more

    • Seems like a good battery buy I'm skeptical of any real warranty
Purchased a 36V 100Ah battery and installed it in an old Club Car DS golf cart. Battery was packaged well and came with a charger that is a bit flimsy but it has a cooling fan. Took about 12 hours on the initial charge to get the green light on the charger. (think its a 5 amp charger). Battery charged up to its max voltage. No big deal wiring it up in the cart. 300 pounds lighter now and the cart wants to wheelie off the start! Better top end speed as well. There was no warranty included and if you look closely , it states on Amazon that you need to retain the proof of purchase. Kicker is if this company leaves Amazon prior to the 5 years you have 6 months on your warranty, and thats it. Factor that into your purchase decision. I chose to keep the battery and hope for the best. Don't expect much of anything regarding the operation or specs to come with the battery or charger. There is just a useless little two page thing half Chinese half English. Read up on how to care for and properly charge and discharge this type of battery with your own on-line research. Remember that you'll need a step down voltage converter to run any lighting or a radio on your cart. As a seasonal user I was going to go with AGM batteries for maintenance reasons and they were more expensive than this lithium battery .I will update this review after I've put some miles on the battery. Update: I drove the cart quite a bit on level pavement since installation of new battery. I wish I could tell you how many miles I put on it but I estimate 15 -20 miles and a lot of short trips over a 10 day period or so. Battery percentage and voltage stayed high for quite a while but when it got below 50% under load, battery percentage and voltage started to fall off very rapidly. I went from 50% battery (under load) to 0-10% / 32V in 2 miles. I was worried about making it home. Got back and no load showed 10% and 32V. I did not intended to drain the battery that much before charging. Also put on a step down converter to get 12 volts, but did not use the lights that are powered by the 12 Volts during this time. I don't know how much power the converter draws when not in use. Cant imaging much if any. ... show more

    • Makes our golf car go noticeably faster
Our golf car goes noticeably faster without any modification. We used to average 12 mpg now 15/16 mpg. It may not seem like much but you notice the difference. Easier to charge. Alot smaller than the 6 large batteries and less weight. No maintenance checking the water. Very easy to assemble. We have had it almost a year with no problems. ... show more

    • 36 volt golf carts not recommended.
Updated my previous review: This battery is not recommy for golf carts even though the description says it will work. Here's why. The battery includes a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) to protect the battery. However, this particular BMS will shut the battery down if the output current exceeds the built-in threshold. The problem with using this battery in a golf cart is that the startup current of most golf cart motors can easily exceed the BMS max current threshold and the battery will shut down. This can happen (and has happened to me) when the cart is going up a steep hill or just starting out too quickly. When this happens you'll read only about 4 volts across the battery terminals. Disconnecting the battery terminals (so zero current is drawn) will reset the BMS and the output voltage will return to above 36 volts and the cart will run again. Since the battery is now getting older it happens more. I almost returned the battery but the return shipping is expensive and on your dime if you return it. I now wish I had returned it. Bottom line, for golf carts you need a battery that is specifically made for gold carts and can handle the higher startup current. ... show more

Been in cart for 7months. Plenty of range power and speed. Cart just feels lighter too. Solar panels might help with range so not exactly sure on that, put 20 miles on it one day no prob
