    • For pond pumps, the bigger the better.
I have gone through a number of ponds in my life, the first was over 60 years ago. I have gone through even more pumps. This is what I've found. The pump is the heart of the pond. Moving water tends to be healthy water. Problem is that ponds tend to collect junk like leaves and other things. These things are a constant problem for your pump. A plugged pump will become a dead pump. This pump has two things going for it. First, it comes with a bag. The bag should filter things that could plug or damage the pump. Second, it is a relatively big pump. Things that get through the bag should be flushed through the pump. This assumes that you are performing constant maintenance to give the pump a chance. Doing nothing will eventually kill even this pump. The bag will plug quickly depending on how dirty your pond is: keep it clean. ... show more

Unfortunately I have not had a chance to test the pump but it seems very well built and includes some adapters for the inlet hose side. I would rate it a high quality. It comes with a mesh bag which is cool since I’ll be using it on my almost complete koi pond. The power cord is super long and it has a diaphragm insert for the inlet to keep the water from back flowing through the hose if you happen to need it. ... show more

This works great! An absolute lifesaver when my bathtub started backing up. The extra long 25 foot cord came in handy along with the 16 foot included hose. The other hose adapters work well too. This can move water pretty fast and has a shut off switch that turns off when the water reaches a very low level. It's pretty powerful for its size! This submersible water pump is perfect for small jobs one being a goldfish pond in my yard wires, sometimes daily excess water after heavy rains gully washing rains to keep the pump station box dry even when some pump is working the extra pump helps move water quicker than the sump pump itself. Simple and easy to use no real set up comes with a great extension cord and access tubing that can be connected to a fountain or a or another type of tube in for your specific need the enclosed net bag is great to keep large objects leaves debris from getting sucked into the impeller and damage in the pump itself. I’ve been using this now for several days and I’m very pleased with this performance, the instructions give clear detail on how to clean and maintain your impeller to extend this lifetime. The pump is rather quiet compared to other pumps I’ve had in the past and the bright yellow color casing with the black looks great. This is a great pump to have on hand because it’s small enough to store in the garage without taking up too much space and it’s easy to move around as needed it and at the end of the day it does the job it’s intended to do I would recommend this product. ... show more
