I picked this up to swap onto my MTB, looking for something with a little less rise and a little wider than what I had. It was easy to install my current cockpit onto the wide bars, and the 35 mm clamp makes a strong connection to the bike. The 780 mm width gives me plenty of leverage when navigating rough terrain, and the combination of length and aluminum material gives the slightest bit of flex with big hits, making it a comfortable bar to use on the trails. While the extra width is nice, be careful and take some time getting use to cornering around obstacles and going through narrow passages, it's easy to hit the end of the bar on something until you get used to it. ... show more

The handlebars are sturdy, although they do have a sticker that says "this product is not recommended for downhill, freeride, stunt or any extreme off-road riding." If that's your intention, you should probably look for bars specifically intended for those abuses. For regular riding though, they are more than adequate. They bars are 22mm in diameter, not 22mm circumference as depicted in the picture, and are standard bicycle handlebar width. Otherwise it is as described. I ordered this handlebar to change the orientation of the grip on my Ride1UP LMT'd ebike. It works great and looks good. If you're going to use this with an ebike, it's got a limitation in how many items you can put on the bar (grips, shifter, throttle, power switch, display). You can run out of real estate. I didn’t do my homework when I ordered these handlebars and the amount of rise on these handlebars is a bit clown like for most typical bikes. You have to want a really tall and upright seating position. However, the handlebar itself seems well made and comparable in quality to your average OEM handlebar. It’s nothing particularly heavy duty, lightweight, or fancy, but it’ll be fine for most riders. I was impressed that the wall thickness was over 2mm, compared to 1.7mm on my Diety's. Diameter is 31.8, and grip ends are 22.2mm. The extra rise over the stock 50mm rise on my XPeak is more comfortable now. If you want comfort, these are good.

These are great bars as long as you understand their limits. I bought this for my wife's 29er that I am still shopping for. Waiting for that perfect bike to come along on cl or pb. She prefers a more upright sitting position and these narrower riser bars will provide that. She is not a hardcore downhiller, just likes to ride the relatively easy dirt paths and rail trails for exercise and sightseeing. Again, these bars will be perfect for that application. At this price point, I would not expect them to hold up to the rigors of downhill bashing or dirt jumping like my Deity's. But for rec riding they are just right and I expect them to provide a comfortable experience for my wife on her new bike. I'll update with some pics when that happens, I'm currently very happy with these bars, one less thing I have to purchase when we do find that goldilocks bike. ... show more

My mountain bike has a very wide and flat handlebar. It makes it a challenge to ride between tightly spaced trees. I'm tall and have my seat up high, so the low bar creates more strain on my shoulders and neck. This bar helps with both issues. It has a nice textured finish and appears to be well made.
