    • Exactly what I wanted!
Two wooden trays -- and each with a black metal stand. Very nice looking. Also practical since there was barely any lip so a spatula or cake knife or the like can easily slip under an hor d'eouvre and lift it out. The trays can be used without the stand, of course. Recommend!!!

We have a lot of parties and get-togethers at our house, so I am always in need of extra trays for serving food. I ordered this set because I have a lot of acacia wood trays and thought this would look good with my existing trays, and I liked that there were metal stands to elevate the trays in this set. But... The workmanship of the trays is poor to mediocre. There are lots of very rough spots all over the trays - tops and bottoms. The corners of the trays are the worst areas. The trays definitely DO NOT have a nice smooth finish, that I prefer. The item description states "The 3 tiered tray stand has a durable and robust construction made with natural acadia wood, which is food-grade, smooth and splinter-free." The trays I received are definitely NOT 'smooth and splinter-free'. Each tray has a different wood pattern, as you would expect with wood. The color tone of each tray is similar, so that is a plus. The wood is very dry, and in places, looks very worn and greyed. The item description states the trays were treated, but the trays I received look very raw and have no coating on them. One of the trays is also warped. The metal frames that the trays sit in are all scuffed up, as shown in my photos. Each metal frame was individually wrapped in a plastic bag, so the scuffing is not from shipping - rather seems to be flaws in the manufacturing finishing process. They look very rough. The legs of the tallest metal frame spread out under weight. They aren't very sturdy. If you only put lightweight items on this tall tray and frame, it would probably be okay, but once you put anything of 2 pounds or more, the legs spread out. The legs of the medium height frame and the short frame do not spread as bad, since of course, they are not as long. For the $60 price of this set, I expected MUCH MUCH MUCH better quality. This set is so rough - wood and the frames - that had I seen this set before ordering it, I would have passed. This set is definitely not as nice as the many other acacia wood trays, bowls, and plates that I have. I like DIY projects, so I am going to sand the trays to make them smooth and will finish the acacia wood with a special wood polish. I'll sand and repaint the frames so they will look better (no scuff marks). I will likely also fashion a bar to join the tallest frame legs together to prevent them from spreading out when using it. But again, I shouldn't have to fix or finish this set at this price point. If you're looking for something VERY rustic and don't mind the metal all scuffed up - the idea of these trays is a good one. However, at this price point, you're better off looking for another set. ------------------------------------ [UPDATED REVIEW 6/21/23]... The manufacturer contacted me after seeing my original review (above), and offered to replace this set. It was obvious they care about their customers, and customer satisfaction - I appreciate that. The new set I received is in much better condition than the original set: - The three new wood trays do not have the very rough spots that the original trays have. The quality of these new trays is much better. The wood looks and feels like untreated, raw wood, but again - looks so much better without the rough patches. - The paint on the black metal legs in the new set looks good. There are no scratches and scuff marks that were all over the original set. - The legs on the tallest metal frame on the new set is much stronger than the legs on the original set. The new legs feel like they will hold up well under weight. Overall, this second set of trays is in much better condition than the first set I received. I appreciate the manufacturer replacing the first set - standing behind their product. ... show more

My wife and I enjoy entertaining at our home but storing large serving items can be challenging. This tray set fits our needs and easily fits a small storage. The set includes three lipped, acacia wood trays – all trays are the same size. These can also be used without the stands, giving another option to this versatile set. A few ideas: -Food serving/charcuterie trays -Cupcakes/Pastry Display -Single Tray without or with lowest stand to hold a candle, hand towels in our guest bathroom -Breakfast buffet display for campout guests -Party guest favors near front door. There are 3 black metal folding stands – the wooden trays fit into all three stands. To keep these trays protected and easy to clean we plan to use our cutting board oil on them. The metal stands are solidly built, and the wood trays are beautiful. I love how versatile they are. I can line them up front to back, or side by side. I can use them individually, as a pair, or all 3. I can also use the trays alone, without the stands. When they’re tiered together, they’re about 24” wide, but since they’re individual pieces, this can be adjusted. The bottom of each tray has a lip which fits snuggly into the metal stand, so no worry about the trays sliding off. Thanks to the collapsible legs on the stands, all 6 pieces stack about 4” high to store. But the metal stands slide around so I’ll put the whole thing back into the box for storage. Also, the only cleaning & care instructions are on the outside of the box so it’ll be handy to hang onto. I plan to use these serving pieces for holiday entertaining and family gatherings, but I can imagine them being useful to display home décor pieces, items at craft shows, or small potted plants.
