I like the wood, and the overall quality. Each shelf is folded in the center when it comes out of the box, with hinges at the fold. Not all pieces lined up perfectly, and the hinges made two of the shelves arch just a bit, but once it was all put together it was fine. Instructions were easy to follow, and the screws provided were perfect for the job. The bottom shelf is attached to a separate section; then the top two shelves are attached to the top section; then they are stacked with inserts (pegs) that hold them together. The only downside I saw is that the unit needs to be picked up from the bottom or it could easily be pulled apart. I put mine together in my island. That worked well. ... show more

This is a great shoe-rack, it’s pretty sturdy and quite spacious. It fits mens shoes very well, and I like the look of the bamboo wood much better than my other metal shoe-rack. It’s just what we needed in our closet and we will probably buy one more. There was one issue, and it’s the same as what some others noticed as well. There were several spots of mold growth on the shelves right out of the package. Definitely super gross and should not be on a brand new $20 shelf. The company should look into some climate control for their warehouse because there shouldn’t be mold on a sealed product. It was easy enough to wipe away, but I will be vigilant on checking it over time because now I’m a little worried that more will grow. Other than that, it’s a solid purchase. ... show more
