Right out of the box I was in love with the look of these. The wood is a beautiful dark warm color, almost decorative looking. They're so smooth and shine, they've been finished very nicely. Both have a large working area, the spoon head and the spatula, and are formed very nicely. As someone who cooks a lot I can tell these will be very useful. The one drawback is how short the handles are, especially on the spoon. I'm not reducing the rating because the measurements are listed, but I guess I didn't pay close enough attention. With such a short handle I won't be able to use them in some situations, like my large wok over heat. As you can see in the picture, the handle on the spoon is about 7" which is ok, but doesn't give you a lot to work with if you're working over a hot surface and need some reach. But that one flaw aside, these are a gorgeous set with a great working surface. The short handles don't make them unusable, they'll still do a great job in the kitchen and look good doing it. ... show more

I needed a set like this for my nonstick pans since I have a lot more metal cooking tools. These are a 10/10. I have cleaned them many times and they still look great. I find myself reaching for them over and over. They are also pretty big and wide so it makes it easy to hold them and flip food.

They are beautiful wooden utensils with very smooth wood. They feel good to hold. I already enjoyed cooking with the spoon, which I didn't know if I'd want to do. They washed easily. The media could not be loaded. So far I've only used the angled spoon, but I love it! It's lightweight, has a long handle and most importantly: it cuts through chopped meat easily and quickly. No more breaking up meat manually as I add it to the pan or having to use a metal spoon against my non-stick pans. This angled spoon did the job.
