  • Great product
I was apprehensive about the peel and stick adhesive, previously I've used the ones where you had to apply RTV. However I was pleasantly surprised how well this worked. in 20-degree weather with the car warm from a short drive I cleaned the oil pan, peeled and stuck it on. Very happy with the ease of install, and so far it works great, ... show more

  • They do get good and hot. A little too hot!
They claim up to 198°f , but that must be an average as they will go well into the 300's of degrees before cycling off, than back on about 80°. Be careful what and where you use these. They were so hot initially, they were smoking. So I had them magneted to my lift for a couple hours to see what would happen. They had my lift column about 120° in about 20 minutes. Not sure how I feel about these on my $50k racecar to keep the block from freezing. Think I'll leave them on my lift overnight with nothing flammable near by and check on it in the morning. Only about 50 degrees in the shop right now. Proceed with caution. And buy some big magnets with them, as the adhesive (3M) isn't that great, especially at these Temps. ... show more

  • Does What It Is Supposed To Do
I bought these to use on the oil pan of my tractor and the other on the hydraulic tank of my log splitter. After peeling back a tiny corner of the backing, I realized that it wasn’t too sticky. So I plugged it in for about 10 seconds to heat it up a bit. First, I was surprised at just how warm it got. Second, although it got very warm, it still didn’t want to stick to the freshly cleaned and degreased oil pan. I resorted to sticking it on with a large magnet. This seemed to work. I’ve been using it every day for a week now. It heats the oil up nicely for easier starts and the magnet holds it on even driving through brush and saplings. The other heater I put on my wood splitters hydraulic tank also needed a magnet to stay on. But it too heats the hydraulic fluid up nicely. Overall, they work great. But definitely look into a couple large magnets to keep them where you want them. ... show more

  • Heaters pads
These would work great for men who can get either under or inside the hood. Not for women especially if your over 60.

  • Lasted 2 Months
I bought these in November of 2023 and they lasted until January of 2024. That's not even 1 season so, even though they were pretty inexpensive, they were not worth it for that short of a life...

  • Gets Scary hot!
The media could not be loaded. These pads will definitely work in the winter, I figured they would run continuously staying in the 100°F range but NO! They kick on around 80°F and quickly heat up to around 400°F then kick back off till the temp drops to 80°F again. I'm not sure if all the internal temperature controllers are the same or not, but if you plan on using magnets to hold it on, I don't think the magnets will stand up to this high heat. Later I will update on how I mount the heat pads. ... show more
