This light is not easy to install. The electric cord it comes with is too short and flimsy. There are no directions. Red is hot wire. No ground needed with led and it did not state that. The slide on feature after electrical hookup on the box is almost impossible. Spend more for better quality or spend an hour swearing and sweating putting this up. ... show more

    • Awful, horrible design and quality

Even at $7, I would avoid this fixture since it is barely useable. First, the construction is extremely cheap. Plastic construction is to be expected, but this is so flimsy and cheap, and it appears that way, too. The wiring is about the thinnest I've ever seen, maybe 20 gauge (about as thin as dental floss). The wires are colored red and blue (I was told red is "hot," and should be connected to the black wire, and blue is "neutral" and should be connected to the white wire). There is no ground. The length of the wire from the fixture is so short that you can barely connect it to the bracket. Speaking of the bracket, it's not designed for standard US junction boxes, and it's not truly a flush mount as well. At most, I would try to hide this fixture in a rarely used closet or unfinished area of the house. You'd be better off spending $5 more and getting a half-decent fixture instead. ... show more
