I work on cars and suvs most of the time. I have been using a dewalt impact for a few years now, and while it is fairly powerful, I find it not working for alot of situations. I got this to get that extra bit of torque and it is absolutely insane. So much more powerful than the dewalt. It is significantly larger than. The dewalt and heavier so I will only bust it out when needed but when I do, I am confident this thing will handle it. Tool is built amazingly well, with highest quality parts. The case and packaging is even superb. The tool itself has a little play in it, when I first felt it I thought it was defective. But it is designed this was as sort of a shock absorber and works really well. This tool is so powerful, I thought it would rip my hand off but the design definitely takes some of that torque out of your wrist and into where it's needed. The battery is very nice as well, I love the large leds that show the percentage and it charges really fast and lasts a long time. In a way I wish I wouldn't have gotten this because now I want to switch thousands of dollars of dewalt tools to flex brand so everything matches. I also have the Flex circular saw and it too is amazing. These power tools are designed very well and definitely top tier. I highly recommend switching to these if you are thinking about it! This Flex cordless 1/2 inch impact wrench really makes it easy to loosen and tighten stubborn bolts. I love the auto mode that stops loosening when it's loosened so you don't drop the bolt, and stops tightening when it's tightened so it doesn't over tighten. The torque is very impressive. I've tested on various items and can't find anything that is too tight to loosen. The light is nice and bright and the handle has a comfortable rubber grip. It's fairly heavy with the battery loaded, but it's also well balanced so as not to cause fatigue. And the bag is big enough to hold the impact wrench, battery, charger, a set of sockets, a set of wrenches, and room for a few other small items if needed. In my opinion, the extra cost is worth it because you're paying for strong power, heavy duty components, and great features. ... show more

Out of the box,I charged it till showed full in less than an hour. It effortlessly took lug nuts off my Jeep and Gold Wing. This is a heavy, extremely durable tool. Weighs about 10 pounds with battery. 4 selections available on front of handle for impact power and auto shut off once fastener is free. Picture of manual shows these options. There is no 'Fine' tuning of tightening torque. It does have a two settings for torque, either low (I recommend to snug up) or full power. It has a great feature when unscrewing fastener. It will stop spin just after fastener breaks loose. This will reduce nuts being thrown out at times. ... show more
