I use these to cut things out on an 80w laser engraver. They cut and engrave well, though be aware that the walnut layer is pretty thin. Warpage was minimal. I was happy with them and will buy more.

The first two words in there description are "Accurate Size" and they are true to there word. One of my pieces was a little shorter than the rest and when I informed them they offer me a refund without asking for one. Trust me most sellers won't do that

My mistake for missing the word "plywood" in the description. I will be using these for walnut inlays on the guitars I'm building. I wish that it was solid walnut, so I could run it to an edge and sand to edge round. I can't because the lighter wood that is sandwiched between the two walnut veneers would show. Other than that, which was due to me not paying complete attention, these pieces will work great for bordered inlays. The grain patterns and coloring is great, and they will work great for that. They are true to size, which is good. I will have to create a cavity just a hair deeper than 1/8" for the walnut to go into, then sand the border wood down to meet it. If the walnut inlay is proud of the other wood, when I sand it will remove the very thin piece of walnut veneer. Despite them not being solid walnut sheets, they are a good value and will work well. ... show more

    • The 12" x 12", Walnut Unfinished Plywood, is a nice piece of wood that so far has remained flat.
I used this Walnut plywood to cut and engrave with a diode laser engraver. It was very important for the wood to remain flat, and it did. Now, a month later, the cut and engraved piece of Walnut is still flat. I used a 20 watt X-Tool diode laser. For cutting I found that I could do a one pass cut, but achieved a much nicer clean cut by making a lower power two pass cut. For the 3mm thick material 2-pass cut, I used a 7mm per second Speed setting with a Power setting of 70. I tried everything from a 1mm hole to a 12" circle, and the two pass settings did a great job for all cutting. For engraving, I used the same settings as I normally use on all types of wood. A Speed Setting of 150mm per second, and a Power Setting of 87. Walnut is a fairly dark wood, so the engraving is not high contrast. However, the dark engraved image on a nice piece of Walnut makes a very professional looking wall hanging. I finished the engraved piece of Walnut with one coat of Tongue Oil which really made it look nice. I found no cons to report. Some people might complain about the price, but I believe it to be very fair for a good quality piece of Walnut plywood. You get what you pay for, and quality wood is not cheap. ... show more

I picked these up to do some laser engraving on. They were all flat, no warp, which I appreciate. Lasering though, was a problem. I've done solid walnut before with no issues, but whatever this stuff is, the results are not the same. Maybe I'll make boxes out of it or something

    • Good for Crafting or Wood Burning!
Got these for some wood burning projects I had in mind. The color of the wood is probably a little darker than I wanted, but these still turned out great and were easy to burn with. They would work well for other types of crafting as well. Very pleased with the size and quality for the price.

Nice micro thin walnut veneer over a regular wood base. Covered on both sides. Good grain and pattern in the veneer. Is it really walnut? Who knows. At least stained that color. Nice size to work with on a jig saw.
