My kiddos are just starting to get interested in baseball (although I think they are more enamored by the sanctioned swinging of a bat), and I was looking for something to keep them occupied when they are stuck indoors. This is a really lightweight set, which is really important to note: I wouldn't recommend trying this outdoors if there's anything more than a light breeze. But for indoor play that will keep the youngest kids occupied and the rest of the kids (and household items) safe from harm, this is a great set. Definitely recommend it! I'd say my only point of improvement would be to have the plastic case be a bit sturdier, because that lasted maybe 5 minutes in our household. But since we already have a place to keep the sports toys together, it's not a huge loss on our end. This is a nice set for toddlers. My son is four and he really likes it a lot. They come in a nice little case you can keep them in. The bat is not hard so if they go a little rogue and start hitting people or things, I don’t think it will hurt or break things too badly. The balls are not super hard and they’re not super soft. They’re just for a toddler, that is compact so you can pull it out at the base and then tighten it to be full-sized. I like this set for our grandson. It's a softer bat that is the right size for him to hold (he is 2). He was so excited to play with this and all the various types of balls that came with. This baseball set is fun for kids of all ages. It makes a large target to hit the balls with, which leads to confidence and success. I also like that it is soft and lightweight so I don't panic that someone will get hurt when my grandkids are swinging the bat. Another great feature is that the handle retracts so it takes up less space in the sports equipment bin and also it makes it easier to take along to the park. My kids love these because they can play with them in the front yard. They used real bats and real balls before, but there were some close calls with windows on the house. So we got this set for them and they enjoy not getting in trouble for a ball hitting the house. The balls are an ok weight so you can throw them a ways without them falling out of the air. This is a foam bat and balls so there isn't a lot to say. It's lightweight so the younger kids can play easily and safely. It's a better foam material so I believe it's going to last longer than some other cheaper material bats. It comes with 2 different kinds of balls and would be great for practicing with the younger ones at home who might be scared to try the real thing at first. My grandson is 4 and loves this! Although he uses it more as a golf club right now. LOL! The balls are perfect - not super hard, but not super soft, so when he does hit the ball, it does go a little distance. I would recommend for your toddler
