I ordered (and received) the gray version of this garage door threshold from ToLanbbt. The length and quality of the threshold is exactly as expected and described. I'm hoping that the 1/2-inch height is enough...which is why the headline starts with "fingers crossed"...the actual quality and effectiveness of the threshold is yet to be tested by local weather conditions. However, the sealant/adhesive that I received was a totally different product than the one shown in the product description (Siematic...a high quality German product). What I received was from a company called "Sooku", and had a mixture of English and another language that I didn't recognize (and couldn't read) on the tube. There was no country of origin listed and all the instructions on the tube were in the language I couldn't read. (After a web search, I learned that the language on the label is Indonesian.) However, the actual issue I encountered was not specifically with the language or the unknown manufacturer and quality of the product. The issue is that after sizing, cutting and preparing to lay out the threshold on the garage floor, I cut open the top of the silicone tube and found that the sealant inside was dark black. I tried to be as careful as possible, but while seating the threshold and pressing it into place, the black silicone sealant squeezed out along the edges, got on my gloves and, of course, smeared onto the surface of the threshold (a light gray). Well, even after putting a lot of effort into cleaning up the mess with mineral spirits, the results were less than stellar. Basically, the sealant provided for use with a gray threshold should have been gray as well. In my opinion, the seller should have known this and should have provided an appropriate product to match the color of this threshold. If you order this gray threshold, and you're concerned about the look of the finished product, set aside the black sealant that comes with it and buy some gray sealant from your local hardware store. Easy to install. Quality was very good and what I expected from the product description. I didn't know this product existed until I was searching for another item. Pliable and flexible. Easy to cut the end to fit opening. I used scissors. The silicone adhesive that came with the weather strip was also good quality. I used 1 3/4 tubes on my 16' opening. I like how the gray looks. Wind-driven rain would flood my garage. It took me 30 minutes to install, even though I had the first one of the two doors on backwards. Then I read the directions and got it right. Had plenty of adhesive to do both 8 foot garage doors.
