The paper used in this organizer is slightly thicker than my last few years, so it looks like you can use a highlighter or felt pen and it won't bleed through to the other side! Although the paper on this organizer is of a different texture, (hard to describe, but it's a more 'matte' finish, like there's no coating at all) and it feels a bit 'cheaper' than some of my other ones of previous years, which were a bit more 'glossy'. Now, if this was a sketchbook, I would prefer this paper for its slight 'tooth' which is great for pencil... But this is all kind of splitting hairs; for 8 or 9 bucks this is a great spiral bound organizer, with a similar layout to my older ones, and in a similar price range. ... show more

Soft cover makes it easy to carry around in a handbag and very lightweight. Good size allows notations to be written clearly. Tabs for each month make it easy to find dates, and enough space to write in information. Having both months and days gives even more space little pocket at the back which allows you to slip in cards and other needed information.
