This opener has instructions for smart button openers and flip switch openers. Instructions are clear and easy to use. My application was for an old Liftmaster motor with a round button. Apparently, these are super old and there is no support from Liftmaster. So, for me, this keypad doesn’t work. My understanding is that this keypad will only work with square Liftmaster smart button units. ... show more

It is not a genuine Liftmaster keypad but the price was right. it was fairly easy to program. of course its never that easy to program. I would definitely buy it again.

Works with one garage that has a LiftMaster opener but not with our other garage door (a Powerlift by Fimbel) - which I expected and for which I commend the Seller for not advertising this as a "universal" opener. This replacement remote looks almost exactly like the LiftMaster original and works just as well. Easy enough to program with the Learning Button on the opener in the garage. The only thing that remains to be seen is how long the batteries will last and whether the buttons hold up to pressing. Best of all with this set is that it comes with the kind of opener that affixes outside the garage and with two remotes that are typically placed inside a car. Did not work with our Craftsman garage door opener model 139.53970SRT mfd. 03/02, even though that model is included in the compatibility list. Specifically, the opener would not "learn" the code from the remote keypad, despite numerous attempts.

    • One button close feature useless
The instructions are straightforward, the keypad programmed easily to my new Chamberlain opener on the first try, and also mounted easily with the enclosed hardware. BUT - I specifically chose this keypad for the "one button close" feature that allows you to close the garage door with just the push of the Enter button, only to discover in the instructions that the feature only works within 30 seconds of opening. 30 seconds. Seems like an important limitation that they don't tell you about ahead of time. So if you're thinking you can work in the garage for a while and then close up with a single push on your way out, it doesn't work that way. Also I'm trying to imagine opening the door from the car on approach in the driveway and then racing to park, get out and get to the keypad before 30 seconds is up. Why not five minutes? Or a couple of hours? I don't know if all keypads are the same so I'll keep it and just continue to enter the code every time to close it. ... show more

    • Excellent Craftsman Replacement with EZ Setup = A1 Value ...
Had been in need of a nice Craftsman openers outdoor keypad for some time since it's cover had a hinge break awhile back. That keypads from 2007 - thou it actually still works to this day. Opted to give this a try when found thou had my reservations on whether it would operate correctly since it was stated to operate so many different brands and models of openers - thinking mine would happen to b one of the chosen few to have probvlems. BUT as an end result - this had made for a great choice. First off this lil gizmo arrived in great time box packaged with some hardware and a lil instructional booklet. The keypads appearance rivaled that of the original one here in being its size, shape, and even the keypad itself were nearly identical in every aspect. This units size is 6" tall by 3" in width and a depth of an inch. Color finish is a beige tan (not almond or yellowish) to describe as 'taupe' is probably closest. The setup itself deserves high praise here due to the fact that it was simply 'too ez' to accomplish. Just to follow the detailed info of a few simple steps - since I was just going to use the same coding, and the whole process was completed within a few minutes - one time and only once did I have to go thru it - the door operated asap without issue. This one has a lit keypad along with key beep features that can b turned on/off which the older didnt have - thou can't really recall if it did - they quit operating some time ago. This unit also has the instructional info printed out on a label inside its cover. It takes a '9v' battrey to operate which was included along with a few screws for wall mounting in which I had just used the old - hey even the hole patterns were nearly identical - like I mentioned - 'just too ez'. The old one also used a '9v' battrey and it always lasted several years between change outs since I hardly used it and expect this one will do the same. Specs state it can used for a variety of openers that have either the 'learning button' on the motor OR 'bi-pin' sliders (mine was the learning button type). Have no idea about others that may have or had an issue with their other brands using this as a replacement - but for mine this worked out and worked out better than expected therefore I can recommend it for at least Craftsman openers.
