This is my 3rd season of Pickleball. I started out with the "buy 2 paddles and balls" for $20 and learn how to play! I upgraded to the Z-5 paddle and played with that for a season. I got the Selkirk because it has a slightly longer handle and it is a little thicker than the Z-5. It is still lightweight and the handle is good for a smaller hand (female). I do feel a bit more in-control of where the ball lands when playing. I also have a little longer reach when I am hitting backhand as well as forward hands strokes. I quality of the paddle is excellent. I would definitely recommend this paddle as the next one after getting better in pickleball. ... show more

This was a great first paddle I used when learning pickleball. I’ve progressed now to a more “professional” paddle but this was a great paddle to learn with. I used it for 7 months 4-5 days a week and it still have plenty of life in it.

This paddle is light weight, has a pretty design, and is easy to control. The grip was pretty comfortable but I did replace it with one that helps with sweat to get a better grip as the stock grip did become slippery after playing a while. Seems durable as I have hit the ground many of times and it’s still in great condition. Paddle has a great sweet spot and when the ball hits that sweet spot it goes flying.
