This is the absolute best magnetic iPhone holder I've used, hands down. The number one thing that makes it the best ever is its pure magnetic strength and power holding on to the phone. This review is specifically reviewing the more oval shaped product and not the circular shaped one (as it appears they make two versions). You can confidently grab your phone, hold it, shake it, put it in your pocket, drop it, etcetera, and know that this baby isn't coming off! In fact, when you want to take it off you actually have to work at it a bit to forcibly get it off (the easiest way is to slide it off your phone instead of trying to yank it off). I have two main gripes with this ring gripper, however. My first gripe is that the phone will not charge on a magnetic iPhone charging base with this attached. I've had other rings that will allow the charging to take place while still attached. That being said, I'm not so sure any of these rings are designed to do that, however. The rings that could remain attached and allow the phone to charge were all super weak magnets and would sometimes simply slide right off the charger when the phone was charging. I'm wondering if the phone was weakly charging merely by being in close proximity to the charging base by way of a thin, cheap, weak magnetic ring? Regardless, it is important to note that your phone will NOT charge on a magnetic charging base with this ring on, which means you have to remove the holder to charge. Not a deal breaker, just slightly annoying. My other gripe with this ring holder is the finger ring itself. A great feature of the ring is that it lays completely flush within its magnetic enclosure allowing the phone to lay completely flat and not wobble when set on a surface. However, the fact that it lays completely flush means it's incredibly difficult to lift the finger ring from its surface to get your finger inside the ring to actually use the ring as intended. It's possible, don't get me wrong, to wedge your finger in there with some effort and slide your finger through the loop but it is not effortless by any means. I wish the designers would have thought of this and made a slight indentation in the ring itself allowing your finger to more easily slide inside the loop. Of my two gripes about this magnetic ring, this is the most annoying because it rears its head literally every time you use the ring. When weighing those two grips against how darn strong this magnet is and how secure it holds my phone in my hand, I still LOVE it! I absolutely recommend this to you!
