I would give TEN STARS if I could!! This refurbished laptop is in pristine condition both operationally and cosmetically. No nicks or scratches. It runs FAST and has an incredible battery life. It was delivered timely and well packaged with signature required (which I appreciate because nobody wants to have anything that valuable left outside their front door). PLUS……. after I transferred everything from my old MacBook to this one, I had a small issue with the charging cable staying connected. I messaged the seller and the customer service I received was INCREDIBLE. They went above and beyond to make sure my “new” laptop was fully functioning. Apple products are expensive, everyone is aware of this. I’ve had my old MacBook Pro (late 2015 model) from the year it launched. This is the reason I decided to go with another MacBook. The MacBook Pro 2021 outshines my old model by an incredible margin with its lightning-fast M1 Pro chip. It's a game-changer for anyone seeking top-notch performance and design that will last years. I didn’t get my hopes up too high regarding the quality that I would receive when I ordered a refurbished product, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The MacBook that I received was indistinguishable from a brand new product that could be mistaken as factory new. No scuffs, scratches, dents, or faded keys. It even came with +1 year of AppleCare. It was unknown to me at the time that this model of MacBook can be charged with either the MagSafe or a USB Type C cable. The charger that I received did not work out of the box and is a Chinese knockoff (clearly not manufactured well). This was a major concern to me because it wouldn’t charge at first until I used a spare USB-C. I do have concerns regarding if the MagSafe does work (pretty sure that it does given the condition it came in). I will have to either buy a new one or request one from the seller. Overall, I am very impressed and will be ordering refurbished from Amazon in the future. Edit: I contacted the sellers and received a free charger that worked as per my complaint. The 16" MacBook Pro with Apple M1 Pro chip is reliable and has excellent build quality. It has an excellent screen and responds quickly to work tasks. The USB-C PD port allows a docking station to be attached to connect external monitors, keyboards, etc.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had, purchasing a computer. I trusted that Woot was selling a refurbished MacBook that was functional. As others here mentioned, it came in an “Apple Refurbished” box. The apple box was shrink wrapped, the accessories brand new, the MacBook itself was in pristine physical condition, and I even pulled the felt liner protecting the display. I saved up for this computer for a couple months. I was so happy! Then I turned it on. The battery had less than 10 cycles…great. Then the computer locked up and I was informed that this computer was the “property” of another company, and that I had to accept “remote management” to continue. Remote management is where an IT department can regulate and monitor everything on the laptop!! There are some hacks available to block the remote management IP address, but there is no guarantee that Apple won’t override this in a future O/S patch. So I basically had a bricked laptop. HERE’S THE KICKER: I reached out to Woot customer service almost a dozen times to try and get this resolved. On their website, they were SELLING an identical MacBook Pro, but they couldn’t do a swap because “that is a separate inventory.” They offered $300 refund to fix it but I already confirmed there is no permanent fix. Apple refused to touch it. And, in order to make original purchase, I obtained a $500 Amazon account credit plus Afterpay, and Woot doesn’t accept Amazon account credit. So when I returned the laptop, I was unable to make a purchase with Woot. End of story: no laptop. I’ve been a Woot customer since 2006. ... show more

    • Laptop looks absolutely New, just one little blemish so far!

This is my first review after buying on Amazon for many years. I received this laptop on the 24th August and it looks like new, no dents, no kinks or no sign of any wear and I had case waiting on it's arrival. It had two (2) battery cycles and seems pretty ok so far. On my first charge a couple days later it took (approximately) 2.5hrs to full charge and at the end the charging light that was green kept on flashing which I found strange but didn't pay it much mind. Now with my first test out with my controller last Saturday (2nd) and after playing for a while, my battery was at 27% and I decided to plug in my charger (which doesn't have the Apple logo on it), no charge light came on, laptop wasn't being charge. I did all kind of checks on the charger no power to date and laptop had no signs of being charge. I wrote to the supplier and Amazon on the 2nd, received a response (3rd) trying to verify if it was the laptop or the charger and the next one this morning (4th) saying it will be forward to the responsible department, so I am on a waiting list. In the mean time I ordered a "Apple" charger and cable as I used the third party charger provided with the product and it failed so I'm not taking any more chances and unfortunately I travelled from the US to Jamaica to use my laptop. Hopefully it charges ok when the charger arrives......... Update: Just getting around to do this update, the charger arrived on the 3rd while I was waiting on the supplier and my laptop charged ok and is now on 4 battery cycles with the laptop working perfectly fine. The supplier service department contacted me back on the 4th and I told them what I did and they asked me to provide proof of my purchase which I did. They immediately sent me back a note issuing a full refund for my purchased charger and by the 5th the credit was in my account. Brilliant supplier and service department and I would definitely recommend this supplier and I will buy again...They just gained another Star.... ... show more
