  • Great connectors
Color: Red
Used these to splice longer wires into pre-terminated servo cables. Use a heat gun for best results. 200c/400f and glue/heat shrink secures wires then melt the solder ring in the middle. Makes a strong connection quickly. Worked well on 22-23awg stranded wires. Servos are used for model railroad turnouts. ... show more

  • Great value for a bulk pack of solder heat shrink connectors!
Color: Red
Update: I had to remove a connector and the heat shrink was in fact tight and could not be slid off. Original review below. These do have a more milky clear than others but they work. They are a great value after all! The price of this bulk package is quite appealing if you have hundreds of wires to solder and heat shrink. Once you use them the value is not there. These solder connectors use a harder heat shrink than some of the other connectors I have used. They also turn milky white when they cool and some seemed to slightly expand upon cooling. This causes the colored ends to not grip the wire and it makes soldering the ring a little bit of a challenge. Also the solder rings in the connectors do not flow as well as some of the smaller packs I purchased. There was not any instructions on the packaging with regard to what temperature to use on these. I searched the web and found a NTE (name brand connectors) tutorial video. They heated the ends some on each side and then came back to melt the solder. I believe this was to get the ends to bite down on the wires so that things wouldn't move around when you go to melt the solder ring. Their product page also said the solder flows at 140C. I set my heat gun to 200C and got to work. Surprisingly I did not ruin any connectors along the way. For some reason sometimes when you are first starting to heat the connector they almost jump to the side on you. I dont know if the plastic gets slick or the heat in the wires makes them wormy but the biggest hurdle in the process is getting the two red ends sucked down to the wire. At one point I was fighting a wire that was noodling around on me and i thought my wire actually poked through the heatshrink. I put down the heat gun and checked it and it had not. I adjusted the wires and applied some heat and called it done. The best part of this type of connectors is the fact that you can solder without smelling lead or flux. You still get the smell of polyolefin (heat shrink) but that is nothing compared to the smell of lead and flux to me. There are also no clouds of toxic smoke to avoid during the process. I cant say whether or not the resistance across this is as good as what you would get with some old school leaded solder and that smokey cloud it provides but for a quick and clean solution this type of connector is the way to go. I did continue to apply heat for a few seconds after all solder had flowed in an attempt to avoid cold joints. I have no idea if this worked or not since I have not measure the resistance yet. In the end I unfortunately could not get the ends of these connectors to consistently grip the wires I was using so this product is just okay to me (3 stars). Other products provided a significantly better grip and solder flow for a slightly higher price per connector. I do not think these would provide a water tight seal at least for my application. ... show more

  • Works as advertised
Color: Green
Not sure how I didn’t know before that such product existed. This is perfect for automotive projects and probably a million other splicing jobs. Super convenient and works great.

  • Can't get any easier
Color: Red
I love using these things and I use them very often for when I am connecting wiring for custom headlights. They are so convenient and I haven't had any issues with a bad connection as long as you heat it up enough to melt the solder.

  • LOVE THESE THINGS
Color: Green
I wish these things weren't as expensive as they are, because they are so cool. No more using electrical tape, or pulling out the soldiering iron. Just some wire strippers and a heat gun is all that's needed to make a water tight, heat shrink, soldiered connection.

  • No more Short in headlights
Color: Purple
For too long I put up with headlights that would intermittently shut off while driving at night! Usually just one.... or the other.... but a couple times both! I replaced the sockets for the headlights, but it did not solve the issues. Even stranger was that if I popped the hood and touched the back of the headlight, it would turn on and stay on for the rest of the trip. (usually). I finally got fed up and replaced the connection of twisted together wires covered in electrical tape with these connectors. They were easy to install with a heat gun, and I have not had the issue again since I installed, about 3 months ago. ... show more

  • I am a fan!
Color: Red
Everything else won’t hold like these heat shrink solder seal connectors do. I do it once then forget about it.

  • How did I not know about these sooner?
Color: Red
I use these to make connections in my WS2812 pixel lights. These connectors are so easy to work with up on a ladder with a small pocket torch.
