I chose the rectangular style stencils but they also come in a round style and an irregularity style. I chose the rectangular because I wanted to use them on a small canvas. The stencils measure 6" in length and 4.7 " in width. They fit perfectly on a 7" by 5" canvas. I attached the stencils with painter's tape and they held secure. I bought these specifically for two senior citizens I am a companion to. They enjoyed the new experience and as you can see from the pictures they turned out nicely. The ladies were delighted. All the stencils are different and all very cute. They are sturdy. We are planning to make some cards as well. I can't tell you how much fun these stencils are. I will try the round ones next. These are much smaller than I expected, but I probably didn’t read all of the details. They are approximately 4.85” x 5.85”. With that being said, these are fantastic! So much fun and 20 to choose from without any repeats. There are a couple with birds that I find fabulous and realistic. If you’ve ever had a hard time drawing or painting birds these are the ticket. The stencil material is sturdy enough to use a brush with some care, but these are not flimsy. I will be ordering more if they make another selection just for fun. In reference to the photos, I used Pan Pastels and a makeup brush on a half sheet of Pastel paper from Windsor and Newton. ... show more
