Reversible ingot molds are ideal for casting gold, silver, copper, and for forming wires. They may also be used to make flat stock or wire stock from scrap metal materials. This two-piece reversible wire plate adjustable ingot mold features a clamp and a sprue. Details: Casting Dimensions (Flat Stock): 3" x 2" x 1/8". This is a basic tool every jeweler should have in the shop. And my squirrel kept telling me that I needed to change up my system. Did I believe them? Kind of... but, the impetus was never there. For years I have been using my sandcasting set-up to cast ingots, and that has its place, but for just quick ingot to wire production, these molds cannot be beaten. Love it works great with small amounts of silver. It has a grease coating that I was a little skeptical of but even that has worked nicely. I may need a larger one for bigger projects but this is working out good now.

    • The Flat Ingot's are 1/5" Thick, Not 1/8"
I already own a mold that makes 5mm thick ingots. I needed a mold that makes thinner square ingots to make the rolling process easier. I returned this mold. Otherwise, it appeared to be very good quality, identical to the one I already own and use on a regular basis. The manufacturer specs are simply wrong. ... show more
