We bought this toilet brush & plunger unit for the easy, streamlined appearance. However, the top of the holder became unsightly after approx 3-4 months with a dirty, tarnished look. I cannot get the top clean. The unit was not in a wet or dirty area of the bathroom, but it became ugly too soon after purchase. The "tin" "nickel " finish is fake and the unit is no longer presentable to leave out in the bathroom when guests are over. I recently purchased the UMIEN Toilet Brush and Plunger Set 18-in from Amazon Warehouse, and while the product has its strengths, there were a few notable disappointments as well. Pros: Design: The set's sleek and modern design adds a touch of elegance to my bathroom. The stainless-steel finish is visually appealing and matches well with contemporary decor. Functionality: Both the toilet brush and plunger perform their intended functions effectively. The brush's bristles are firm enough to tackle stubborn stains, and the plunger creates a strong seal, making it efficient in unclogging the toilet. Long Handles: The extended handles provide a comfortable grip and make it easier to use both the brush and plunger without having to bend too much. Freestanding Canister: The canister is convenient for storing the brush and plunger together, keeping everything organized and reducing clutter in the bathroom. Cons: Canister Condition: Unfortunately, the canister arrived with few dents, which was not as described. Gladly Amazon was helpful in addressing this issue. Material Strength: The canister material (not stainless steel) feels somewhat fragile and not as durable as I had expected. I am very surprised that this is a small family business. My biggest concern was dealing with a soft brush and plunger. Not the case. They are solid and feel made with very high quality standards. We have continual problems with our WC’s and I was really sick of the older set I had. It just made me feel angry seeing it, so one afternoon I just threw out both pieces and looked for something sturdy, with a holder, that wouldn’t be such an eyesore in the bathroom. This is a n attractive set, if these things can ever be attractive (ha). I noticed another review with a complaint that it’s not authentic stainless Stell—well, of course, it’s not stainless steel. It’s only ~$30. I’m not sure I’d want stainless steel anyway, as that might be too heavy to pick up from such a tight space and it would certainly cost a lot more. So yes, it’s plastic, and while I wish it was recycled plastic, I’m okay with that.it is a big improvement on what it replaced, and I like that both pieces are side by side. My only real complaint is that the plunger isn’t the one pictured, and we really NEED an effective plunger. Mine doesn’t have the inner cup or neck, whatever one would call it. Mine is just flat, bell shaped, and as far as suction, it doesn’t have as much as it can need sometimes. I will probably replace that as often as we use it. The plunger I got also does not latch in the frame (holder), so it just sits flat against the bottom of the holder. I’d prefer it be able to hang from the frame, like the brush does, so that if it does get used, it’s at least getting some air circulation to dry it out afterward. These things have the potential to grow lots of nasty microbes if they’re not throughly disinfected after each use, and it’s not ideal to have it sitting in a small puddle anyway. The lack of suction power is the more serious issue, though. I really do need this thing to be ready in a hurry to do an important job. It seems like this is not the piece that was originally supposed to be part of this set. A plunger itself isn’t that much, and the set looks good. Pros: it’s an attractive set that looks almost like a small appliance; size is good; both pieces are side by side. I do t have to actually see the tools. Cons: the plunger isn’t the one pictured; doesn’t hang from the frame, and is lacking the inner neck of the plunger. It’s still a major visual improvement to what it replaced.
