    • These lamps look smaller in person than in the photos.
They seem to be nice lamps, but they look smaller in person than they do in the photos, especially the photos of the bedrooms. Unfortunately they looked too dinky on my dining room buffet. The shades are only 5-6 inches deep, so when you look at them from an angle, they look REALLY thin. Also, the USB ports in front are unsightly and looked worse than I thought they would. So back they go. I've learned my lesson from previous returns to take pictures of how they fit in the box so that you can put everything back in the way it was originally packed. ... show more

    • You don't have to assemble the SHADES yourself!
I looked at many lamps sold here similar to these and this is the only pair where you don't have to put the shade together yourself. Because from what I'm seen on the others you have to place the shade fabric around the wire form and then Velcro the ends together. No matter how hard some have tried, it appears from their photos it looks like crp. These shades are fully assembled straight out of the box, you only need to cut off the clear plastic that protects them during shipment. These are a little smaller than I expected even though I measured before ordering. But they look fine on nightstands in the bedroom. I wouldn't use these in a living room, taller lamps look better there. But for a bedroom they are fine. They are touch lamps, but only if you lightly tape the round button on the front of the base. It's just a tap. Sometimes my cats step on them in the middle of the night and turn them on. The USB ports work fine. But the electrical plug that's built into the front, I'm kind of leery of using that since I don't want to over-use the wiring capability of this lamp. Plug something in that has too many watts and you risk a fire. I don't see any UL rating on this lamp or the box. ... show more

I like these lamps a lot. I love the three stages of brightness. So easy to turn on with the touch control. Somebody named Laura said that the lamp shade moves around willy-nilly. She did not put it together correctly. You have to take off a plastic ring put the lampshade on and tighten the ring and then put in the light bulb. The lampshade would be nice and tight. Yes I agree the USB ports and the socket would be nicer on the back for home use. But if these were made for a hotel they're always in the front so you don't forget your charger. It looks very nice in my living room and on my nightstand. I might buy a couple more. ... show more

I like the look of these lamps and I love the 3 light settings but I can't stand that the lampshade doesn't screw in so it just twists around willy nilly. Also, I wish I'd paid closer to attention the which side the usb and plug ins are on because they really should be on the back, hidden if they're not being used. They would look a lot nicer this way. If it were easier to box them back up and return I probably would but it's too big of a hassle to bother so I'll just have to get over these things that bother me. ... show more

I bought these lamps for our bedroom. Its a smaller bedroom in an apartment so our bedside tables are smaller than typical bedroom furniture. The lamps are perfect for the size of the tables and for giving our room a soft light. These lamps are cool because there are three levels of light you can choose from. - I use the first level (dim) to have on when were home but not necessarily spending time in the room. Its soft but still bright enough to light the room (in picture) - I use the second level of light for reading in bed. The third level is the brightest and we don't typically use that level but its nice to have if needed. It helps that there are two lamps to evenly light the room. -Both lamps have a spot to plug two USB's in and a spot for a regular plug. This is very handy for charging my phone and FitBit at the same time. All in all, these lamps are perfect for what we need them for. We may relocate them to another room once we have a house and buy bigger bedroom furniture, but they do the job and look good while doing it. ... show more

Do do like the lamps very much. I like the height and especially the shape as they take up less room on my bedside tables. I had another touch lamp on one side that worked amazingly and it didn't matter where you touched it! Unfortunately both of these lamps have only ONE spot on the entire lamp that will turn the lamp off or on. I have tried everything and absolutely nothing works except that ONE small spot which is the little silver button on the base. Not what I was looking for. However, I had them all unboxed, put together and on my stands before trying them...shame on me because I know better. Of course it's more of a pain in the rump to take them all apart and TRY to get them back into the box to return them so begrudgingly I am going to keep them. They will end up in the guest bedroom as soon as I find ones that work as expected. If you don't care about the touch part then by all means they are nice lamps for the price. If you want to be able to have a TRUE touch lamp, stay away from them. ... show more
