The light is bright and helpful at night. I'm not sure about the battery life. I've tried to replace the batteries in other lights that I've purchased. I decided to try another brand. These work leaps and bounds better than other brands I have used previously that stop working after 6-12 months. This brand even includes a 24-month extended warranty if you register them. Motion detection works flawlessly and the range of colors to choose from are great. Easy to use. Need 3 AA batteries per one. First light lasted about 10 months, second lasted less than 3. Neither worked again once I had to change out batteries. They were very useful and I definitely ordered more :)

I got this as a gift for my husband but our toilet is positioned that we walk up to it from the front and not the side. It is not easy to position the light sensor at the front of the toilet so it is sitting in a drawer for now. Cute idea though - he did like the light colors.
