It works, cleaned my GE Opal 2.0 saw scaled flakes and purged both tanks to like new. To anyone cleaning their ice machine - you NEED to LEAVE IT IN the machine for 18+ hours not just cycle it twice it cant dissolve anything that fast. Soak a sponge in the solution (4oz to gal) and cram it right in the water drip system thing as well. Run your machines cleaner over and over and over and make sure the entire system is filled with the solution in all the areas water rests, then leave and let it sit. Drain it all and purge it over and over and over with filtered water and run that cleaning cycle several more times to get it super clean of any extra flakes and drain it all then make a batch of ice until it runs out of water and dump it all and your set - start making fresh ice again. I dump the first tank of ice because of anything that might have lingered around - this is optional. ... show more

So I recently pickup a used ice machine that wasn’t working. I read review and watched YouTube and saw others using similar descalers so I thought this maybe the situation. I opened up and machine and found some green coloration in the pipes, and feeding float which I took apart. I soak the tubs, the float, and any other parts I can remove including the check valve. I was hopeful after a few hours that they would be clean but they weren’t. But overnight, everything began to look like new. A little brushing and tube cleaner helped too. The float, suddenly was crystal clear and looked brand new, the plastic did not get etched by the descaler, which I was afraid would happen if I left it overnight. This product did work but just not as fast was I had hope. Now to figure out why the nice clean machine is not working. ... show more
