Surprisingly, the funeral home suggested I look on Amazon for my husband's urn. I would've never thought of it, but they explained that they send all their customers here when looking for an urn. They told me these are the same good quality for half the cost that the funeral home can get them. I think I must've looked for hours when I finally decided on this one, and I'm so happy with my choice. The wood is a bit darker than it looks in the product picture, but I like it even better that way. The carvings are wonderfully done, and the box is very well made. I really can't say enough about the craftsmanship. The bottom opens with 4 screws and while it fits snugly, it is easy enough to remove and then put back once your loved one's ashes are safely tucked away. The box is simply beautiful and I feel like my husband would be happy with my choice, which is what matters most to me. ... show more

I’m so grateful I chose to order this for my Dad. He would be so pleased. The craftsmanship and wood grain is beautiful. The cross is on two opposing sides and the boarder goes all the way around. He was 200lbs and there is still some room if he would have needed more space. There is enough room that I could add add a small memento. (Helpful tip for opening the box due to no directions enclosed. Use a small phillips head screwdriver for the tiny screw. Then gently slide the thin bottom panel outward.) Very nice rosewood box made in India, overall a good value and recommended. A few minor cosmetic and finishing defects. Give it a good wipe with a cloth to clean it up. The main box is 10 mm thick. The "lid" (which is on the bottom of the box) is a sliding cover made of particle board, 5 mm thick, fitting snugly and stained to match the color of the rosewood. In my photo, you can see the edge of the lid on one side of the box along the bottom; the color matches quite well. I could be more enthusiastic about this purchase if I could know that it was harvested sustainably, as rosewood is an over-exploited resource, even though I intend to make only one such purchase per lifetime. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The wood is very smooth and soft. The craftsmanship is beautiful and I like that it wraps all around with cross on front and back. I’m very happy with how this turned out, and the price is great too!

The memorial box arrived packaged very carefully with foam and packed in two boxed. Also the box itself was wrapped in plastic and paper. The color is a bit lighter than in the picture, but it is a natural brownish - red tone, just beautiful. The fittings and finish are perfect inside and out. The urn is also larger than we had imaged, but that's a good thing this memorial is for an adult. This is an outstanding value for the price, we would definitely recommend this memorial tribute to anyone for their loved one. ... show more
