    • Perfect lights for dining table and board games!!
I purchased two red ones. Both settings work well. For dining I place them as one would candlesticks, both on my dining room table and my picnic table. I have an LED task light for board games, sewing and art projects, which has been OK, but shadows have always been a minor annoyance that didn’t bother me much. However, when I saw how well a pair of these light up a the table without shining in anyone’s eyes while reducing shadows, I started using them at either end of the board game or projects: high during the day, low at night. The spread of the light, reduced glare and shadows is a huge improvement over conventional close-up task lighting. They don’t tip over when lightly knocked: the bases are heavy so they are well balanced for table use for dining or tasks. I didn’t expect to both like and value them as much as I do. Now I don’t want to have dinner, or play and work on my table without them. The red color is cheerful for tasks, informal dining, parties, and will be whimsical on Christmas. Their one drawback is thought they last a long time after charging (12 hours on low and 8 hours on high), they take hours to recharge, if if forget to charge them after about 3 uses they start to dim, and you can’t use them while charging. So I plan to plan to purchase a silver pair both for use for more formal dining with guests and other holidays, and to swap out if I forget to charge them overnight when needed. They are sturdy, attractive and reliable, one of the few high value-added rather than replacement items I’ve purchased on Amazon as of late. I'm absolutely enamoured with these lamps – the kind of love that's grown stronger every time they've illuminated my spaces. From the elegant ambience at the dining table to the enchanting glow on my outdoor balcony, and yes, even in the cozy warmth of the sauna, these lamps have been my reliable companions. There was even a moment of unexpected brilliance when they became a beacon of comfort during a power outage. However, the saga took an unexpected twist about 2+ weeks ago when, without any warning, they decided to take a hiatus from their radiant duties. I initially shrugged it off, thinking a simple recharge would reignite their luminous spirits. Alas, no matter how long I patiently bestowed them with a charge, they remained mysteriously dormant. This unexpected power outage of my beloved lamps has left me puzzled and slightly in the dark (literally). If there's anyone out there with a spark of inspiration or a bright idea on how to revive these once-flawless illuminators, I'm all ears. Got this for my elderly parents who absolutely love it. When their lightbulbs go out, they wait for me to come home to replace them. So sometimes hallways are dark and this thing, they walk around with it like a lantern all the time. They absolutely love not having to use a flashlight or their phone, because the design of this makes it easy to just set on a table or pick up and go and it’s not blinding anyone, it just spreads light nicely downward. Wouldn’t have guessed it’s that useful, but we all know old folks who’d use this that way! The design is gorgeous and so elegant on a table.     • Don’t be fooled by supposed light settings

Addendum: Now 10 days into owning this light, it has completely stopped working. Please don’t waste your money - there are better quality products available. I have purchased rechargeable lights from other manufacturers and loved their versatility and function. I was excited for this purchase, since the light was taller and took up a little more space. However, from the first day, it does not remain on the light temperature setting you select. I always prefer a warmer light, which is the second option, and within an hour it always diverts back to the first temperature setting which is bright cool light. The same goes with the brightness level - it diverts back to the brightest setting after an hour. Additionally, when you want to adjust the brightness level again, the light turns off and you have to turn it back on and reset everything. The charge does not last as long as other manufacturers either. I’m really not happy with this product and it does not allow me to create the ambiance I was hoping to achieve. ... show more
