  • Super Adaptable, but Wheels can stop at small obstacles in road
This is a great wheelchair walker. I've really enjoyed the lightweight nature of the Walker and the flexibility of being able to use it either as a wheelchair or as a Walker. this week this weekend I used it significantly while walking through an arboretum And was able to use both of its functions. What I don't like about it is that the front wheels get caught very quickly on any small obstacle. when. when my mother was in the wheelchair being pushed And we and we would come up upon a twig or a small bump, we would get jammed as if we had just suddenly slammed on the brakes. this was a little uncomfortable because my mother wasn't expecting that And as a result I ended up having to hold her while also pushing the wheelchair so as to make sure that she didn't fall from the wheelchair. I think it would have been helpful to have a seat belt but if you were moving at some speed and hit a small obstacle such as a twig or a rock it's possible that you could tip over. I also don't like the bag and its placement. it comes off easily and ultimately we placed on the side of the chair. But then it interferes with the wheelchair footrest. One of the locks for the foot rest stopped working on Day 2. We could still use the footrest so it's not been that big of an issue for me. but I was not happy that it had broken so quickly. ... show more

  • It’s the envy of the assisted living community BUT the nuts and bolts can fall out on you.
Update #2: I found a neighbor who had an identical model of rollator so I measured most of the fasteners. As expected, they are all coarse thread metric but these are easily and cheaply obtained from Bolt Depot. The concave washers are not so easily found, however if you decide to make your own out of rubber or plastic the curvature is exactly that of a Schedule 40 iron pipe. Wrap the pipe with sandpaper and sand to the required thickness. NOTE: Your specific rollator may use different items. The following are what mine required. YMMV. The central part of the "X" is shown in the first two photos. It consists of one M6 120mm round head cap screw having 25mm threaded portion, five concave plastic/rubber washers 3mm thick at the bottom and 8mm thick at the top and each having an M6 flat washer permanently glued to its flat bearing surface, two M6 spacers at 5mm and 8mm respectively, plus an M6 acorn nut. Add some thread lock compound to ensure that the nut doesn't fall out on you next time! The left and right sides at the bottom of the "X" between the front and rear wheels (photo #3) are M8 120mm domed 5mm socket head bolts with corresponding flat washer and acorn nut. The left and right sides at the top of the "X" use three different lengths of M6 domed socket head bolt: Upper left, outermost, near seat rest hooks (photo #4): M6 75mm, 8mm and 25mm spacers, acorn nut. Upper left, innermost (photo #5 and #6): M6 50mm, two curved flat washers, 5mm spacer, acorn nut. Upper right (photo #7): Inner and outer bolts are both M6 40mm, and have a flat washer and acorn. The inner one has two curved flat washers also. The four footrest studs (sorry, I forgot to take a photo of them) are 25mm long overall, have an external M5 thread that is 8mm long, the heads are 10mm long and 6.5mm diameter with an M3 socket head. I don't know if this is a standard type of bolt so you may have to get creative with this should you need one. The star knobs have an internal M6 thread. The corresponding hex head bolt is 35mm long. Update #1: After three months of daily use my mom called from Florida to say that at least two screws had fallen out and that while it may still be used as a walker it is unsafe to sit in. As I live in New York, I can’t just run right down to fix it. So I wrote to the seller to ask for a detailed parts diagram showing the type and size of fasteners (all presumably metric) this thing requires. I’d gladly mail them to a local handyman to install. The seller would only send me the so called assembly instructions which, as you already know, do not contain this information. Repeated requests to the seller fell on deaf ears. I took three stars off this review for the poor product support. Original review: Lightweight, sturdy and easy to assemble. After assembly it can easily fold flat for storage. That it can be used both as a walker and as a wheelchair is what makes it such a versatile and enviable device amongst the other residents. To convert from one mode to the other you just flip the backrest to the opposite side and then swing the footrests in or out as appropriate. ... show more

  • Game Changer
This 2 in 1 mobility device is truly a game changer. It is much lighter and easier to load in and out of my vehicle for my husband's appointments. I no longer have to manage a heavy wheel chair in and out of my vehicle or hope he can make it with just his rollator. This does both. It allows him to walk when he is strong enough and to be pushed when he gets tired. The device is not quite as lightweight as his rollator, but it is substantially lighter and easier to transport and maneuver than his regular wheelchair. What could be improved upon? There could be more comfort. The seat seems sturdy enough, but I had to purchase a cushion for it to be comfortable because the seat is short, not narrow, the width is fine. The design could have been better. The included tote bag that hangs at the front of the seat looks really cheap. I feel that it could have been omitted and the seat extended to fill the space. If you use a standard wheelchair cushion, however, the space is filled and it is more comfortable and looks better. The frame is plenty sturdy, and I was able to assemble it by myself in minutes, although the directions were vague at best. All-in-all I am satisfied with the device and will recommend it to others. ... show more
