  • Great customer service
It’s a nice little beginner tank, just as pictured. The customer service was what really impressed me. They were easy to contact by email and went above and beyond to help us even though the issue was us misplacing a part.

  • Too much current for my Betta!
Very cute tank, the filter seems to be way too strong for my Betta fish and is flinging it all around the tank! The instructions said you can block any one of the three holes since it does not have a regulator but doesn't tell you how to block them???? I tried using bandaids (trying to be creative) but that didn't seem to slow down the flow. My Betta seems to enjoy the space and loves it's new found freedom but too much current. If anyone has any better ideas then bandaids I love to hear back. The assembly of the tank was quick and easy, but was hoping for a filter system that would help keep the tank clean without stressing out my fish.... ... show more

  • useless
Before I even opened the outer packaging, I heard glass rattling around. When I opened the tank box, shards of glass fell out. I didn't attempt to open the box all the way to assess the damage. I was so excited to set this up and re-enter the world of ichthyology, but my journey ended before it started. The crazy part is that the manufacturer's packaging seems thick and protective. There are layers of foam and thick cardboard. The Amazon box was also well-packed. So the breakage must have happened because of haphazard assembly that dislodged during transport. ... show more

  • The glass is nice but the rest- Meh...
I was really interested in this small fish tank but after playing with it it's sort of a mixed bag. The glass body is a nice feature because it's clear and smooth and won't scratch over time but the top and bottom are relatively lightweight plastic. I suspect if you actually drop this that the lid or base would break before the glass did. The filter system is also somewhat suspect. I'm sure that it will help to keep big chunks of stuff out of the water but not sure how it would perform over the long haul. I don't have fish in it yet so I will update my review after I have some results from running the filter and ask the fish what they think. ... show more

  • It's actually pretty nice and not too expensive
I have a couple of other small nano/betta tanks, and this one is very nice and was much less expensive. I probably wouldn't have ordered this if it wasn't made out of glass. Plastic gets scratched up too easily, and I really like the seamless front edges. That makes it look very cool. I was just a little disappointed that I had a broken piece in the filter. The tube that rains the water over the filter sponge was a little smashed and had an extra cracked hole on the side. It was packaged in a box, inside the tank, which was very well protected for shipping, so I have to conclude that it was shipped broken, so the quality could have been better, and it's kind of a critical part. I like to DIY a lot, so I can probably repair it quite easily or make a new one, it's just a minor inconvenience but I couldn't say it was really a perfect 5 star kit. The design of the filter is nice though. Since it is bubble-less and isn't run on an air pump, this is a nice way to introduce oxygen into the water. It's a cute little tank and I like it, nice and roomy for a betta compared to the cups you typically see them in at the local fish stores. I plan to use it for breeding and hatching fry, with the addition of a pre-filter sponge of course. I'd worry about tiny babies getting sucked up into the power head. I really like the attached lid as well to keep the fish from jumping out, and the filter being above the water is nice and space saving. It's a very cool design, thank you very much. ... show more

  • Cheap and broken piece
The tank is made of cheap plastic. The plastic piece that is intended to hold the light on top was stuck and cracked. The other pieces including the filter feel cheap. In appearance it looks nice and seems practical for hatching fry or having a beta. Once I get it filled and turned on if all else goes well I will might update to 3 stars but anymore than that would’ve give an accurate picture considering a cheap piece came broken. Too bad. Hopefully the company stand by their product and sends me an unbroken part. If that were the case and all else went well I would consider 4 stars but still not sure based on the quality and lack of durability overall. ... show more

  • Great Starter Tank
These small tanks are great for gifts, first tanks for kids getting their first betta fish. The price is great, as most LFS will have you spending well over $100. Obviously you’ll need to provide your own substrate. I prefer sand. Tank is able to hold the heater and some decorations. Shipped perfectly well!! This is 100% as advertised ... show more
