Night vision is supported as well with night mode and the camcorder comes with a 2.4 G remote control that helps start/end video recording at the click of a button. I use this when I am ready to shoot and want to be in the shot. The camcorder supports the pause function, HDMI output, webcam, time-lapse slow motion, and continuous shooting, and I have the ability to pause or restart the video by pressing the "photo" button. I need to have a camera that could record both videos and pictures in the same way I was using phone on a tripod . I didn’t want anything that was super complicated or difficult to learn because I really wanted it to be usable right out of the box. I didn’t need an action cam because I wasn’t moving the camera around. This camcorder it works great when you are putting it into a fixed position like I was with my phone on the tripod.
