Bought this to house a control for an outdoor heating pad for cats. The control is in the middle of the wiring for the heating pad and even though the heating pad is rated for outdoors, I felt the control portion needed protection from the elements. The control is the size of a small remote and fit inside this box perfectly. It is well protected from the rain. The inside of this weatherproof box has stayed dry and I have had zero issues. These worked perfectly. We has to power our well with an exposed line that had to be able to be interrupted and moved because of construction this little box kept the rain water out and the connection dry.

These weatherproof boxes worked out pretty well. The only issue that I had was that there really wasn't room to run a splitter inside the box, or to be able to plug in a large power box. Also, I used this in an area that ended up flooding and the electrical cords held it down enough that they caused it to rotate so that the joint on one side was submerged, and water found its way in. It just ended up popping my GFI, and the flooding was kind of a freak thing, but it did happen. I would buy again, just not for an area that runs the risk of flooding and floating the box. ... show more

Bought this for connecting an extension cord to our pool. This little box is awesome, has a great seal, appearance is nice and doesn't look awful. Definitely recommend

Plastic is almost too dense or soft as it’s difficult to latch the top onto the case due to the thickness of the plastic. If it were a thicker plastic it would work great , but I’ll say 3 stars at best.
