Description

This is a lovely, uncirculated example of the 1947 Mexican 50 Pesos Gold coin. This 50 Pesos Gold coin is graded MS66 by NGC and is a Restrike. From a bold strike, plenty of sharp, crisp detail is present on both the obverse and reverse devices. In addition to its numismatic worth, this beautiful and well- preserved Gold Peso coin is an ideal gold investment, containing 1.2057 troy ounces of gold; perfect for investors looking to add value to their portfolio. The 50 Peso Coin is an iconic coin also known as the gold Centenario. The Obverse depicts the Winged Victory, an angel of independence holding the wreath of military victory in her raised hand and broken chains in the other, meant to symbolize Mexico's independence from Spanish Colonial rule. The Reverse sports the Mexican coat of arms, an eagle perched atop a cactus fighting with a snake in its talons and beak. The Centenario was first minted in 1921 to celebrate 100 years of independence for Mexico. The coin pictured is an example of our Mexico 1947 Gold 50 Peso NGC MS66 Restrike. The coin you receive may have a different certification number than pictured.
