This ring light is top-notch! Before choosing this ring light I did a lot of research and it paid off. This light is definitely on the bigger side, which is actually an advantage. The stand is sturdy enough for the size of the ring light. It has great adjustable brightness and really lights up the object or subject just right. The buttons are strategically placed and the remote control makes it easy to use and adjust the lighting without having to reach for the back of the unit each time. One of the key advantages of this ring light is that it has three phone stands you can choose from. The one thing I wish it could do is: have one of the stands be expandable enough for an iPad, even if just a small one. That would be my only suggestion for improvement. The unit also comes with a carry pouch. The light was well packaged and arrived safely. However, if there are any issues, the company gives you their contact information to help deal with any concerns. This light is excellent for photography and video. Although I have only tested it and used it for a short time, so far I am happy with this purchase. At this point I would highly recommend this ring light. ... show more

I haven't really used it yet. I just set it up and played around with it. Set up was easy. The overall quality and brightness of the light is awesome. I like how it comes with a remote and Bluetooth shutter remote. I haven't used the Bluetooth remote yet.

    • Easy to use, gets the job done
Pros: -Easy to set up. I've never used one of these things before, but it was easy enough to intuit about how everything was to connect and get situated. -Many adjustable heights. There are three separate height-adjusting knobs on the stand, so there's plenty of flexibility in height positioning. -Includes carrying case for light itself. Nice since this is by far the most fragile element of the package. -Multiple lighting temperatures. A pretty solid range between cool and warm temperatures for use in a variety of applications. -Remotes are a nice touch. Light remote and a bluetooth shutter for your phone make this a pretty awesome set up for selfies. Cons: -Packaging was a little haphazard. -No case for the tripod or any of the other parts, so if you need to travel with the ring light and the tripod, they need to be carried separately. -Knobs for adjusting color temperature have iconography implying there is a max scale, but in reality the knobs turn infinitely. Kind of a strange experience but doesn't really detract from functionality at all. Overall: price is a bit high, but there is a lot of functionality here. The ring light is nicer than I thought. It is made of plastic but they all are. The light itself is EXTREMELY bright. The tripod can extend pretty tall. I only needed to extend one of the rods. The cord to plug in is not short at all. It’s a good length. My only issue is when delivered, the box was open and the zip lock bags were torn apart and one of the phone holders is missing. Update: Despite it have been a while since I ordered the ring light. The company reached out to me and issues me a full refund! I wasnt expecting to get reimbursed but its nice knowing a company really cares about thier customers and quality of thier work Is and was an amazing ring light. Till the legs broke on me a month after pruchasing. I tried to crazy glue the part that kept it up but it broke again shortly after. In some sections the things that adjust the legth also broke. So I couldnt adjust it higher or lower anymore. Pretty disappointed in the quality since it had good reviews ... show more

Purchased it 2nd time - for both working locations. Using in tattooing and it works perfect. Very bright, easy and fast assembly and smooth in daily usage. They adjusted all joints - looks more durable and stable. There is no giant block on the cord - so even easier in carrying and lighter. Definitely recommend if you’ll need ring light. ... show more

I did a lot of research before I decided to buy this ring light. I have used them in my piano studio before to record student performances and haven't been happy with other products. When I set this one up, I was very impressed with the quality! It is wonderfully bright, and I love having the ability to change both the color temperature of the light as well as the brightness from the remote control. The bluetooth remote also works very well, which is one thing I found glitchy in other brands. My only complaint would be that I wish there was an indicator of what brightness and color settings were being used so that I could duplicate exact settings. The tripod stand is very sturdy and tall enough to allow me to record looking down on the piano keys. The light is very evenly distributed so that there are no "hot" or "dim" spots in the recordings. One of my favorite features is that I can charge my phone while I am recording directly from the light through the USB port in the back. I also like that I can connect my video camera as well as my phone. Many similarly priced products only allowed phone recording. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase!
