    • Good Product - Bogged Down By Issues

INSTRUCTION PROS - All parts have coded stickers which correspond to clearly written step-by-step instructions, which is great. INSTRUCTION CONS - Some parts had mismatched stickers on them. ASSEMBLY TIP - Make sure to assemble the parts in the order that is recommended in the instruction sheet. ASSEMBLY PROS - The parts easily to screw together. The design is clean and unobtrusive. The structure is sturdy, yet light enough to move easily when assembled. Design-wise, the only thing it lacks is a wheel option. ASSEMBLY CONS - Quality control lacking: All our metal frame components fit together perfectly, EXCEPT at the factory, 2 bolt holes had been incorrectly drilled in a rail so these could not align with the corresponding bolt holes on the leg it needed to support (the bolt couldn't fit through the holes). We tried everything imaginable, but the frame could not be completely assembled, which meant it had to be returned to Amazon. MAJOR CON - This item can only be returned through UPS. I spent 73 minutes on the phone with Customer Services reps who insisted again and again that the frame had to be disassembled and repackaged for return shipping. This was impossible, because at the factory, in order to fit into the shipping carton, all the components had been separated into groups, then interlocked and tightly fastened together before being compression-wrapped in plastic. The component groups were so tightly packed that the shipping carton had to be cut apart in order to get them out. Repackaging would have been like trying to fit all the sardines and oil you removed back into the emptied tin and re-seal it. (Extremely frustrating!) CONTRARY TO ADVERTISED CLAIMS - 1) Along the top edge of the frame, there is no groove or ledge for a mattress or a plywood sheet to rest in. So unless you purchase stabilizers separately, a mattress easily slips off the frame. 2) Only the two legs at the foot of the bed have foot-protective rounded corners.
