I've had this for a few weeks. A couple nights a week I dry a pot or pan on it overnight, and in the morning I put it away. It's already starting to rust in several areas. I'm not submerging it at all. A drying rack should not be rusting so easily. Disappointed.

I recently caught one of these in a minimalist's video and loved the idea of getting even a drying mat off of the counter. I wasn't sure if it would fit well over my sink which dips quite low in the center, but I checked the dimensions of several and went for one a bit larger which worked. This is seriously a great addition to the kitchen. I love having more counter space wherever possible and when items dry, I put them away quickly because they're not sitting to the side maybe or maybe not dry. It's also is a great place to set cleaned produce as you prep. I didn’t realize I would like this so much. It’s a minimalist way to dry dishes without all sorts of contraptions on my counter. I like the low profile and the ease of rolling up the rack when not in use. Works well for cups and plates but silverware can fall through the slats if not placed on the perpendicular. I wish they had a larger size to accommodate the other side of my sink. I have a 60/40 sink that I love, this is on the 40 side. ... show more

This product is exactly as pictured, is functional, and does exactly what I needed it to do. It is very easy to install, use, and clean. If you're a single person in the household and don't have a ton of dishes being washed all at once, this is perfect in the amount of dishes/utensils it holds at once. And it is a much more sanitary option than just piling the clean wet dishes in the spare side of the sink, where it may not dry fast enough and could invite bacteria growth. This over-the-sink model allows the dishes to dry from the top, bottom, and sides for maximum drying efficiency and speeds up the time you have to wait to put them back in the cupboard. 10/10 would recommend! ... show more

I have a tiny counter spot next to the sink, and I was looking for tiny dish racks and saw this. It's awesome. It creates usable space over my double sink. I water my plants and let them drain on this. I wash my dishes and they drain with air circulation. You can even use it as a cooling rack! Best discovery, ever :) ... show more

    • I'm so glad I got you into my life.....
I'm one of those bear types that loves cooking. It is a safe bet that you will find me in the kitchen working on something or another. When I get busy, I may have three or four things going on all converging towards dinner but especially on Fridays. Bread rising, soup on the stove, chicken in the oven, get a salad started ,maybe bake a cake. Everything I make is from scratch so sometimes I get pressed for time but I also get pressed for a little extra counter space when I'm staging my dishes for preparation. I had been looking for a cutting board to fit over the sink but I have all the cutting boards I need. And the idea of something plastic was just a turn off. But then I saw this dish drying rack and started thinking about how I might utilize it for my purposes. Besides it wasn't going to break the bank when compared to many of the other options that my search presented. So I ordered it and received it today. I am overjoyed with my purchase primarily because it fit my sink perfectly and it folds up very compact ....so it's easy to store. But the one thing I really like is that it is sturdy. I was a little concerned of the sturdiness factor because. it would need to be sturdy to withstand my chopping and dicing.on a cutting board over the sink. I can be brutal while chopping meat or veggies primarily because .I use a meat cleaver for all my chopping chores...whether it's meat or vegetable....I know it's different ...maybe even a little weird ...but it is ...what it is..different strokes for different folks I guess. I live in a rural location so I just want to say thank you to the Amazon driver for delivering my package per my instructions. Plus I received it as promised. I want to add that I have found Amazon to be a pleasure to do business with during these challenging times and I am very grateful for the services they provide especially for all of us living in the rural areas.     • Wonderful little helper!
So many of the over the sink racks are way too small for my “older” kitchen sink. I found this one on a daily Amazon deal and measured my sink several times because I couldn’t believe that I actually found one that would fit. It’s perfect for having some extra space for drying dishes but the best thing is cutting a fresh watermelon and being able to do it over the sink! Also shucking fresh corn or cutting up a whole chicken and being able to wash up the mess immediately and not have to transfer from counter to the sink! Just be careful and wash the rack throughly after each use ( especially meats) but it’s very easy to put in the top rack of the dishwasher to clean. Love it! ... show more

    • Great space saver!
I am so happy I got this! My sink is right in the middle of my kitchen island so it cuts my prep surface in half which I have hated until now! I use the rack over one half of the sink and an able to use it as additional surface space for when I'm cooking it baking. It's also nice to just rinse something really quickly and throw it on the to dry. It's not super obvious so I leave it over my sink all the time, and will fold it in half when I need the other side of the sink. It seems sturdy enough to hold a lot of items.
