  • These actually work very well!
Size: 120PCS
I have a bit over a year's experience with these now. I was skeptical originally, to the point of having seen them advertised, but not trusting the effectiveness or durability of the solder bond. I then received a call from a friend who had completely rewired his snowmobile using the Kuject product and absolutely RAVED about them. He is not easily impressed, thus I decided to try them as I was about to wire a mountain sled I was preparing for use. I, too, was duly impressed. They are easy to use and don't require the use of any 'heat reflector' to get the solder to melt and spread the entire way around the wire bond. You simply pulse the heat gun in 3 to 5 second bursts and continually move around the periphery of the solder joint. This evenly melts the solder to saturate the wire strands and shrinks the waterproof silicone tubing around the bond simultaneously. Just work up to the melt point gradually until you get a feel for the timing required. With brief practice, you will be completing solder joints in 20 to 40 seconds each of very high quality. They also lend themselves very well to tight constraints that are nearly impossible to access with traditional soldering methods! The sled I wired has now seen two winters of use without any wiring related failures or issues. It is used to climb mountains off trail in very deep conditions. When stuck in deep snow (often), it is frequently rolled over several times to get the sled able to be pointed downhill again.... snow gets in everything. Zero electrical issues... period. My traditional soldering gun looks lonely... and will likely stay that way. These are an awesome product. My latest order of them was as a Christmas gift for another friend I know will be pleased with the outcome. ... show more

  • Nice set of connectors
Size: 120PCS
I hadn't used these soldering/sealing connectors before, but saw someone using them on a DIY video. This assortment should last me a long time and the few times I've used them so far has worked very well. I've been using a lighter/torch to do the heating, but I imagine a heat gun might be a little easier to manage. With the torch, I need to be very careful not to overdue it and burn the wiring. These connectors are nice and a great price on the set. ... show more

  • Easy to use
Size: 200PCS
The Kuject 200PCS Solder Seal Wire Connector Kit is quite a nice set. Well, if you are careful with the heat gun when installing them. I will tell you to make sure you are careful when you set the gun down....don't swing it over your boat trailer too close to you ankle...just saying. and, don't grab the connection too quick - one of life's lessons for you. only bad note is that some have an opening larger on one side than the other. I could not connect the same gauge wires on one size - 22-18 ga. Flaw?? dunno, just wouldn't work. but I used a larger size to compensate for the few times this was an issue for me. ... show more

  • Excellent Product
Size: 120PCS
These work exactly as described. I am so glad I purchased these. I had to make numerous splices for outdoor wiring and this is the only way to go. I recommend doing a test run with some throw away first. Heat the middle first, let the solder melt, then do one end and then the other end. You will get a perfect job every time. I used a heat gun with a maximum temperature of 350 degrees. ... show more

  • Inconsistent diameter
Size: 270PCS
Not sure if I got a fluke or if they are all like this, but the all the sleeves in my case are not uniform in diameter. Meaning the open end on one side is a few millimeters larger than the opening on the other end -- like one side was already exposed to some heat. This matters when you're picking a solder sleeve that is nearly the same size as your wire and need to pass it over the joined wires. I must slide the narrow end first, join the wires, then that allows me to slide the wider end up over the wire join. Doing it in the other direction doesn't allow enough space for the wire join to pass through the pre-narrowed sleeves. I'm guessing it was a manufacturer defect in the package I received, but 100% of the sleeves (across all gauges) were like this. I'll probably stay clear of this specific one going forward. ... show more
