I came looking for a hip roof toolbox like my dad used to have but found they don't make them like they used to. Although a little bigger than I wanted, decided to give this one a try. I expected it to be heavier than others but weight wise, this thing's a monster. I wanted something just for ratchets, sockets and maybe some combination wrenches and this thing certainly can hold everything I need. That said, I've filled it w/four ratchets, forty sockets, five extensions, it is maybe a third of the way filled and already weighs 20 lbs. For this I question the molded plastic handle instead of a metal one like the old days. It seems to be of good quality and the heavy gauge steel and piano hinge are its strongest feature. Just hoping the latch and handle will hold up the same. I don't understand why the metal has to be made so thick and heavy to be strong. Guess steel is weaker than it was back in the day. ... show more

First, let me say that I was impressed by the craftsmanship and weight of it; it’s heavy! Made of 18g steel that will withstand heavy use. I love the blue color; very untraditional for a tool box, but practical for me as I plan to use it for my Park bicycle tools and they’re blue. I bought some foam to put in the tool tray and the bottom of the tool box too. Of course I had to put some stickers in it… ... show more
