    • Fun little console, but why cartridges?

So I've gotten a lot of these cheaper game consoles for kids and one thing I like about this one for younger kids is that although I love the ones that run emulators and play actual oldschool games, they can be a bit more difficult for younger kids, and have "features" that can mess up the configuration for curious or unknowing users. This one is pretty straight forward and has a lot of what seem to be original (and often educational) games included. Simple, unlicensed. However with so many games installed internally without the cartridges I'm not exactly sure why they didn't just build all of these games into it internally? I don't see where you can buy other games really outside of this so why include games that are just prone to being lost? Regardless, cartridges or not there are a lot of good games here. The console itself is rechargeable, and has a good display. The buttons are standard but feel a tad cheap, and the lower nubs designed to look like analog sticks are just grip texture on the console itself. But again, for a young child it is very nice, easy to reach buttons for little fingers and good display. Still recommended if they/you aren't ready for the multitude of other emulated, licenses (and questionably legal) consoles out there. ... show more

This portable game console is a perfect gift for kids as it’s already package as one in original box. My son was overjoyed when he received this game console for his birthday gift. It comes with 230 HD games and three game cartridges providing endless fun and entertainment. Although these games are very basic 16-bit games, some of them are very fun to play even for me as I grew up playing games liked these. It has a built-in lithium battery that last for hours when fully charged which is ample playing time for my son to enjoy. Being a small and portable game console, it’s the perfect entertainment to bring when we take our family vacation next time. Overall, this 16-bit game console is an fabulous choice for gift for kids because it contains tons of fun games, has good battery life and bring great joys to kids. ... show more

Can't complain too much for a 16-bit gaming console but I'd say it's not great for younger kids. I got it for my 4-year-old nephew and 6-year-old niece and it's probably better for kids aged 8 and up. It has built-in games but they aren't easy to get to. It has a decent battery life. It could be a fun thing to distract kids with if you get it setup for them. ... show more

My six-year-old covets the family Nintendo Switch, and so we snagged him this hoping he would like it. Both he and my eight-year-old fight over it now. The games are super basic, nothing too stellar, but my boys really like them. Probably because they are easy to play. This is pretty small, relatively cheaply made, but it has already gotten a bunch of use in the last week or so! Even though it comes with games you can pop in like an old Sega or Nintendo, you don't need them for it to work. You charge it with a charging wire that it comes with. It also comes with plug-in ear buds since the music in some of these games can get repetitive and annoying. I was grateful for those additions! ... show more
