  • Small but mighty
When I opened the box and saw this cute little amp I thought what did I buy? So after charging it up I plugged into my acoustic guitar and wow was I impressed. It has just enough power to give you a good sound and the effects are cool feature. If you want a good little amp for practicing that won’t disturb the neighbors this a good choice and value. Bluetooth is a cool feature as well and not having to plug into the outlet makes it easy to move around wherever I need it. I’m pleased with this little amp so far ... show more

  • Oddly effective
This is an interesting little amp. It seems to fill a weird void that I didn't think I had. This amp is small and portable with a rechargeable battery. I didn't think I needed a portable mini-amp, but I have been doing some travelling lately and this little amp has been going with me for noodling around at the hotel or whatever. Not having a big rig and requiring a lot of power makes this amp perfectly suitable for my use case, which again, is kinda weird to me. Additionally, with a small acoustic guitar, this amp also will bluetooth to my phone. This allows me to play back songs that I am learning so I can play along at reasonable volumes. Again, not something I thought I needed a separate product for, but this works much better for me than playing music just on my phone speaker or trying to use headphones. So, works with that use case also. It isn't the loudest (though plenty loud) and not the best sounding (no effects pedals in use for me), but it does the job in my opinion. I didn't exactly have Marshall stack expectations, so I think this amp is perfectly serviceable for what I am using it for. Picked this up somewhat on a whim, but glad I did. It sits near my living room chair where I keep one of my acoustics so I can use it if I feel the need, and also is super easy to throw in the truck with a guitar for easy travel. Maybe different use cases than most, but this seems to work for me. ... show more

  • Very nice amp for acoustic guitar... and a bit more.
The amp is actually a 10w amplifier, with a 10w and a 5w speaker. It's not a big deal, but the label description is a little confusing on that point. Out of the box, the amp works well with my classical guitar at moderate volume. What I mean is this, if I were playing outdoors, my classical guitar is able to project nicely for a good distance, but I have to play the guitar to make it project. With this small amp, I can play with less demand on making the guitar project- meaning I can play softer passages with less force. If you play amplified through a Public Address system, practicing through an amp of this type will improve your performance awareness. This amp does not have a gain channel or reverb. But I have tried it with an electric guitar and a voicelive pedalboard that also processes vocals. In this way, I can practice both voice and electric guitar through this amp. It does a good job at moderate, small room volume. The amp works best if you can put it on desk or something that gets the amp up earlier to your ears. My amp arrived without having been charged, but it was easy to charge up. Reading the instructions, it seems that the USB port used to charge the amp may also be used as an audio interface to your computer. I haven't tried that yet, but this is a feature that may be useful to folks who ocassionally want to record, but don't already have an audio interface. At this price, this might be a very nice tool for the right musician. ... show more

  • Nice practice amp for harmonica
This is a nice little amp for practicing harmonica with a small group. The amp itself has two speakers. They are covered with a metal grate and a hot-glued foam dust cover. The chassis is made of a respectable grade of particle board nicely covered with a faux-wood vinyl. The battery does not appear to be normally consumer serviceable, the two cells are wrapped in a tight blue shrink-wrap. The sound is good for practice where one is trying simply to get everyone on the same page. I wasn't impressed with the effects as more than approximations of what my pedals can do. Likewise, the sound won't replace my tube amp for any actual performance. What this does exceptionally, though, is give a comparably easy means of getting to practice. It allows me to have a clean sound loud enough to keep up with the acoustic and quieter electric guitars without having to bring the whole kit (amp, speaker, or most of my pedals). I also like the option to play in acoustic sessions outdoors without electricity, where mellow, clean harmonica can get drowned out by the other instruments. I should note that trying to run an overdrive or cabinet emulation pedal into this at higher volume settings can make it muddy really quickly. I like this mini amp as an easily portable basic practice amp for harmonica, and can recommend it for that. ... show more
