I was hoping for this to be a bit smaller than it is but you can almost fit 2 kayaks in it. My kayak is 14.4 feet and swims in this cover. It is marked as 16 ft. So, not what I ordered. The strap is nice addition but should be optional. There is no way I’ll be hanging a 42 lb kayak on my shoulder! 😳

I have a 10’ x 30” kayak and had a difficult time finding a 10” storage bag with ample width. After returning another, I read reviews and tried this 12’ x 30”. Slid in and zipped up easily. The storage bag for the cover is connected to the inside so it can be tucked safely away and you’ll never lose it. I comments on the included straps as I haven’t used them. The material feels durable and I has zero concerns when tugging on it or moving it around. Seeing how well it does over winter will be the true test. Since I ordered a longer than needed length, the extra material folded snugly under the kayak, held in place by its weight against the storage rack. I moved it around a bit while on the rack and it holds securely, best I can tell. ... show more

It’s a nice bag but it takes some effort to get it on. Also I forgot to put my kayak upside down but the kayak filled with water in the bag. Not really water resistant if it’s flooded with water.

I am really pleased with this cover. I was looking for a cover to keep my kayak stored in when not in use. During the summer, my kayak is stored outside and I want to protect it from UV rays and to keep out spiders, bugs and snakes. I have a Brittney Riot, and at a bit over 16’ I was happy that it fit! It has a nice long zipper and ample material in width so was easy to put on the kayak. The waterproof material is an okay weight, not real heavy duty but I think it will do the job. Also, if it were heavier, it would add to the carrying/transporting weight. I won’t often have a need for the carrying straps but did try them out. I like the fact that the straps wrap around the kayak offering lots of support. The adjustable straps are strong, wide and well made. There is also a cushioned shoulder pad. At 62 lbs., I won’t be carrying my kayak far or often, but nice to have the option when needed. The case also comes with a handy, attached storage bag to use when the kayak case is not in use. I like the fact that it is attached so there’s no miss placing it. I did note that there are outside straps for the kayak paddle. Nice to have that option but not something I expect to use.     • Overall a good option, make sure your Kayak is <10ft long
I store my kayak outside under our porch when I'm not using it, and every time I pull it out I have to go through the unpleasant process of removing all the various bugs that have made it their home since I last used it. That's why I was initially interested in this cover. The cover material is thin, which is nice because it means it's easy to work with. It is quite strong, but it certainly wouldn't hold up to being dragged across a hard surface. There is an extra area in the cover to store your paddle as well. It says it is UV treated, but I would probably still keep it in a shady area since even for UV treated fabic, the sun does eventually fight it's way through as evidenced by all of the grill covers I've bought over my lifetime. What I didn't realize before I ordered this is that my kayak is actually 10' 4" long. While the size of the actual cover provides enough extra space to fit it, the size of the zipper opening really does not. I was eventually able to muscle it in, but would not recommend it. I will say, I put a lot of pressure and stretch on the zipper area trying to get it on and it did not tear or cause any damage. I'd definitely recommend for the manufacturer to make this zippered slit just a few inches longer to allow for slightly larger kayaks. So overall, this is a nice and reasonably priced cover if you store your kayak outside and want to keep it out of the elements. Be sure your Kayak is precisely 10 ft long or less. ... show more
