I have a Kawasaki FB460V-DS08 engine. Was quoted $250 by a local small engine shop to replace the carburetor because the lawn mower wouldn't stay running. Did a little research on Amazon and found this carburetor. 2 day delivery with Prime and less then $30 with taxes, 5 minutes to swap out the carburetor and the mower is running like a champ. The original carburetor was dirty after the engine sat outside for several years. Option one was to buy a carburetor rebuild kit or option two buy the entire carburetor assembly. Cleaning these little carburetors is not top on my list of fun projects, particularly the jets. The price of this replacement carburetor was an order of magnitude less than the cost of my shop time. The carburetor arrived ahead of schedule and was in perfect condition; even the idle jet was pre-adjusted. Removed the old carburetor and simply bolted the new carburetor to the engine. Had to play with the float to get it to work. Gas was flooding the engine out. Works now until I rebuild my original.

Runs good with air cleaner off. But as soon as the cover is put back on it chokes out. Waste of money

    • Fits and runs needed no adjustmemts.
The only thing I had to change was the fuel bowl. The bowl on my carb had a few different parts that the new one did not have but it was easy to swap them out. I was surprised at how well this fits and runs. This is on a Kawasaki 12.5 hp engine on a John Deere SX95 riding mower.

My Snapper Pro mower would not run. I suspected the carb and was pleasantly surprised to find a replacement for such a reasonable price. Worth a try, I thought. Quick delivery was helpful. Then it took 15 minutes to replace the old carb by removing two bolts, two linkages and the fuel hose. New gaskets are included with the carb.
