We bought this welder for my son for Christmas. He didn’t have Christmas on time so received it late. Well past Amazon return policy. We contacted manufacturer and stated all the problems we had with it. Would not weld anything an hardly a spark. Sent pictures of setup and even opened up welder to take pictures and do some multimeter checks. Determined it was faulty and they sent us a new one. New one works perfectly! ... show more

DON’T BUY!!! I’ve had this welder for less than 24 hours. The wire that it comes with is horrible. I bought new wire. Wire will not feed correctly. When it does, it doesn’t arc. The wire also binds up and does not stay in the feeder. Very disappointing!!!!

I had to get a new MIG welder since the last one I bought had a horrible MIG system inside that would not push the wires into the welder. I bought this one as it was within my price range for a new welder and took a chance to see how it would work. MIG Welding Setup 9/10: Out-of-the-box instructions are clear for how to set up the wiring and to get the welding started, easy to install and the wires did not blow up everywhere like my previous welder. Note that when you remove the tip of the MIG welder, unless you have a super tight grip to unscrew it, you'll ned pliers Stick Welding: I have not used this yet and will try that part out, but so far the MIG welding has been great so I'd imagine stick welding is just as good since it doesn't require the same internal wires. ... show more

Got started with one of their smaller stick welding units. Moved to this. So far I've only used the flux core included, however I am very impressed. This unit is very easy to use, settings are self explanatory. The synergetic setting is extremely helpful, especially if you're fairly new at welding. I saw another review stating it's "not DIY friendly" which is entirely inaccurate. If you've never welded in your life, this is extremely easy to get into and learn. Just remember if you're new to get your PPE and have a solid place to work and expect a slight learning curve. If you have welded this unit is a great purchase and super easy to use. ... show more
