  • Great for utility trailer
Size: #14 x 3-1/4" 1 lb ~30 Tek Screws
EDIT ONE WEEK LATER: about one half of the screws that were drilled through C-channel angle iron at the front and back of the trailer failed after a week and broke, releasing the iron completely. One popped at the head of the screw and the rest broke where they entered the second half of the angle iron. These worked great as advertised! I did drill small pilot holes and had no problem with any of the screws stripping out. I got the one pound bag and it was about 5 screws too few for my 8x12 trailer but no big deal - I just skipped a few anchor spots and the deck is still firmly in place. ... show more

  • Easy to use, fast, and secure
Size: #14 x 3-1/4" - 5 lbs ~150 Tek Screws
I installed a new deck on a 7k trailer with these. I didn't have any issues with them not drilling or needing to pre-drill like some people mentioned in thier reviews. I used a corded drill and a lot of pressure. I tried different speeds and medium worked well to get through the wood and set the screw up straight. Then I leaned on the drill with my body weight and went full speed through the metal. The only time I had one not drill through was when I hit the broken remains of a previous screw. Now I have a ton of extras and a few drill bits people recommended for pre-drilling. I tried a battery drill and a battery impact driver, both worked but seemed to struggle. The corded 1/2in drill didn't have any over heating or struggling issues. ... show more

  • Pretty good
Size: #14x2-3/4" - 1 lb  ~34 Tek Screws
18’ dovetail car hauler, no need to predrill. Used Ryobi drill with a high and low setting. Used fast until hole in metal was cut, then had to switch to low to finish. Pressed down on drill fairly heavily. No screws failed. We were satisfied.

  • Packaging for shipping could be way better!
Size: #14x2-3/4"- - 5 lbs   ~170 Tek Screws
I’m sure they work, not rocket science! But the packaging could be way better, no telling how many screws fell out on the way.

  • Medium speed, and LIGHT PRESSURE is the key
Size: #14 x 3-1/4" - 5 lbs ~150 Tek Screws
I used these to re-deck a flatbed trailer. They worked great as advertised. I found it easier/faster to drill a pilot hole, but they can drill it on its own without the pilot (just need to go slow). Keeping the speed low and not pushing too hard was super important. When I was pushing too hard it would dull the drill point and not punch through. I also had some that it drilled mostly out but was very tight when it got to the threaded section. Once I got an understanding of this and lightened the pressure very caused me any problems. They worked better than I thought they would. ... show more

  • Work okay, depends on metal going into
Size: #14x2-3/4"- - 5 lbs   ~170 Tek Screws
I used these to redeck a trailer, driving through wood into angle iron. Found it necessary to pre drill angle iron to be able to drive these in. They worked satisfactorily with pre drilled holes, but unsatisfactorily driving straight in. Once in, they hold well. Not nearly as easy a job as I expected. ... show more

  • Screws worked perfectly
Size: #14x2-3/4"- - 5 lbs   ~170 Tek Screws
Screws worked as expected ( I pre drilled). They arrived in poor packaging but otherwise would rate them 5 stars.
